The academic community and aspiring MBA candidates in the country are excited over the release of the much-awaited B-Schools Ranking 2024 by the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF). <\/span>The Top 50 Business Schools Under University Program, the Top 50 Schools of Eminence for Employability, the Top 50 Business Schools for Research, and the Top 20 Emerging Business Schools are only a few categories examined in the IIRF B-Schools Ranking 2024. These categories offer valid data by assessing about 400 management institutions’ performance based on several parameters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Central Government Universities, State Government Universities, Deemed Universities, and State Private Universities are the four categories into which Indian universities have been categorized, as per UGC.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is IIRF?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

IIRF, or the IIRF Centre for Institutional Research, is an Indian non-government rating system (ICIR). Since 2012, IIRF Research has been featured in Education Post, a monthly journal focused on higher education. The IIRF ICIR in India is mentored by the Federation for World Academics (FWA), which also sets methodology and industry feedback guidelines.
\nThe Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) assigns a national ranking to over 1,000 institutions, including more than 300 universities, 350 engineering colleges, 150+ B-schools, 50 law colleges, 50 design schools, 50 architecture colleges, and more than 100 undergraduate BBA and BCA colleges.<\/p>\n

Parameters of IIRF Rankings<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Major Rankings<\/strong><\/h2>\n

IIM Ahmedabad Emerges as the Top Performer<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad is in the spotlight after taking home the highly sought-after top spot in India’s Overall (Government & Private) category. IIM Ahmedabad is well known for its cutting-edge research, industry relevance, and brilliant academics. It is renowned for having established the national benchmark for management education.<\/span><\/p>\n

Except for IIM Ahmedabad, reputable government schools like IIM Calcutta, IIM Bengaluru, and IIM Lucknow are well-represented in the rankings. In the private sector, notable competitors include MDI Gurgaon, S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) in Mumbai, and XLRI Xavier School of Management.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Other rankings<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As per the Indian Institution of Ranking Framework (IIRF 2024), National Law School of India University (NLSIU), located in Bangalore; National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi); and National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), situated in Hyderabad, are the top three government law colleges in India.\u00a0<\/span>The IIRF rankings for any of the three National Law Universities have remained the same over the previous four years.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, i.e., in 2024, Shiksha ‘O’ Anusandhan in Bhubaneswar, Jindal Global Law School, and Symbiosis Law School in Pune topped the list of private law colleges. <\/span>Only West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata (WBNUJS) [4th] among the 39 government law institutions that submitted applications for the rankings is another National Law University that made the top 10. Some other rankings include\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
