{"id":151221,"date":"2024-06-20T09:45:51","date_gmt":"2024-06-20T04:15:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/?p=151221"},"modified":"2024-06-19T19:27:18","modified_gmt":"2024-06-19T13:57:18","slug":"what-is-mission-karmayogi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/government\/what-is-mission-karmayogi","title":{"rendered":"What Is Mission Karmayogi?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The mission, introduced in September 2020, is a component of <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">larger<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> administrative changes meant to improve India&#8217;s civil services&#8217; efficacy, accountability, and efficiency. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The first anniversary of Karmayogi Prarambh, an online orientation programme for all new government appointees hired through Rozgar Melas, was recently commemorated by Karmayogi Bharat (DoPT) on the iGOT Karmayogi Platform. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Eight courses are part of the Karmayogi Prarambh curriculum, which is designed to assist all Rozgar Mela appointees in adjusting to government policies and seamlessly transitioning into their new posts.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Mission Karmayogi<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Mission Karmayogi seeks to develop a capable civil service ingrained in Indian culture, has a <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">common<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> grasp of India&#8217;s priorities, and collaborates to deliver public services efficiently and successfully.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The goal of the Mission is to maintain the civil service at the forefront of any reform, giving them the capacity to perform well under demanding circumstances. Developing behavioural-functional-domain skills that lead to ease of living and doing business is another goal of NPCSCB, along with improving the relationship between the government and its constituents. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">NPCSCB, a six-pronged project, focuses on enhancing the potential of government officials, training facilities, and officials themselves. It revitalises important facets of government HR management and capacity building, such as regulation and governance.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Key Features of the Mission<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The following are the main attributes and goals of Mission Karmayogi:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Building Holistic Capabilities: Mission Karmayogi is committed to the comprehensive upbringing of public servants, ensuring they obtain the knowledge, dispositions, and abilities necessary to tackle the demands of 21st-century government.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Competency Framework: The mission presents a competency framework that lists the particular skills needed for different public service jobs. This framework adapts to the shifting needs of society and the government.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Platform for Digital Learning &#8211; iGOT Karmayogi: &#8220;iGOT Karmayogi&#8221; is a digital learning platform <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">that <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">was<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> introduced<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to offer a unified and integrated learning and development platform. The portal provides information, training courses, and online courses for public servants.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Individual Development Plans (IDPs): Mission Karmayogi places a strong emphasis on the establishment of IDPs for public officials. These programs enable individualised learning and skill development since they <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">are made<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to meet each officer&#8217;s unique needs and goals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cooperation with Institutions: <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">To guarantee that civil servants obtain state-of-the-art training and exposure to best practices<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, the mission promotes cooperation with reputable national and international institutions, business leaders, and academic institutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Behavioural Training: Mission Karmayogi strongly emphasises behavioural training and technical skills to help government workers develop the proper morals, ethics, and attitudes. Fostering an innovative, accountable, and citizen-centric governing mindset is part of this.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Annual Capacity Building Plans: Mission Karmayogi mandates that departments and ministries create Annual Capacity Building Plans (ACBPs). These plans describe the strategy for growing capacity within their particular companies and the training needs that must <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">be addressed<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Competency Atlas for Civil Services: A complete Civil Services Competency Atlas has <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">been established<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> as part of the mission. It offers a thorough diagram of the <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">competences<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> needed for various roles in the civil services and at different levels of governance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Monitoring and Assessment: The mission encompasses procedures for keeping tabs on and assessing the results of capacity-building projects. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> guarantees that federal officials&#8217; performance and capacities <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">are improved<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> through the training programs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Diversity &amp; <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Inclusivity<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">: &#8211; By attending to the many requirements of civil servants, Karmayogi seeks to increase the <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">inclusivity<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> of capacity-building activities. It promotes equitable opportunity for all officers and acknowledges the value of diversity in the civil service.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Mission Karmayogi is essential for matching the civil services to the needs of the 21st century. It tackles the requirement for a contemporary, accountable, and responsive bureaucracy to support India&#8217;s development objectives successfully.
