        The State bird of Rajasthan is the Great Indian Bustard, Ardeotis <\/span>nigriceps<\/span>. This large bird is critically endangered; its numbers have declined over time due to habitat loss and hunting. The Great Indian Bustard is an impressively sized bird with a distinct appearance similar to that of an ostrich.
