Clearly, It is River-Rafting that I am talking about here!<\/p>\n

The multifarious water-bodies flowing down from the mighty Himalayas provide a great opportunity to develop river rafting as an adventure sport in India. River Ganga<\/a> is the most preferred water-bed for the Rafting lovers in the country. It is apparently one of the best rivers for rafting in the world. The super-exciting whirlpools and rapids of this river are simply unbeatable in comparison with the other rivers of India. If you are a die-hard adventure seeker, the stretch from Shivpuri to Laxman Jhula in Rishikesh will enliven your senses to the core.<\/p>\n

The presence of a good number of rivers in India makes it one of the best destinations for river rafting in the world. Since there is a long list of river rafting options in India, here is a shortened list of the most preferred destinations:<\/p>\n

1.Uttarakhand:<\/strong><\/p>\n

River Ganga, Bhagirathi, Tons and Mandakini (Shivpuri-Devprayag, Garhwal) The best season to visit is from September to June.<\/p>\n

2.Ladakh:<\/strong><\/p>\n

River Indus and Zanskar (Karu to Spituk, Spituk to Saspol and Padum to Nimo) The best time to visit is from June to October.<\/p>\n

3.Himachal Pradesh<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rivers Chandrabhaga, Satluj, Ravi and Beas. The best season ranges from October to Mid-May.<\/p>\n

4.Sikkim<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

River Teesta (Darjeeling and Kalimpong region) The best time to visit is from October to April.<\/p>\n

5.Maharashtra:<\/strong><\/p>\n

River Kundalika ( Kolad, amidst the Sahydris) The best time to visit is during Monsoon.<\/p>\n

The best time for river rafting in India ranges from September to November and April to May. So, don’t just keep wishing, pack your bags and get set go!<\/p>\n
