When you put together a heavy dose of immature comedy, fatuous romance, unnecessary emotions, pointless script and a na\u00efve star cast- you get the recipe of Yaariyan<\/i>! Debutant Director Divya Khosla Kumar, brings to you the perfect recipe of a bad film. After all that hype and buzz the movie had mustered because of its electrifying music, all you get is a long time torture which is way beyond the human limit of bearing capacity.<\/p>\n

Plot<\/b>:<\/b> Yaariyan is a story of some hormonally troubled youngsters who discover the right path when their college territory is at stake.<\/p>\n

Performances<\/b>:\u00a0<\/b>This doesn\u2019t \u00a0happen quite often when you can describe the performance by each and every actor in just one word- Disastrous! It won\u2019t be worth to even mention the names of some young kids who sadly call themselves actors. Senior actors like Deepti Naval and Gulshan Grover have been shamefully wasted.<\/p>\n

Music<\/b>:<\/b>Going by the theme of the movie, the soundtrack of Yaariyan has everything that connects with the youth. With composers like Pritam, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Mithoon and Amitabh Bhattacharya as the lyricist, the album had to be a hit. No wonder why the songs have been soaring high at the music charts. The album alone can make up for the loss the film has incurred.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Good<\/b>:<\/b> Clearly the music! This is perhaps the only thing that could be termed as good about the movie. Besides, the Interval!<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Bad<\/b>:<\/b> The idea behind directing such a film!<\/p>\n

More than the youngsters in the film, the director seems to be confused as to what exactly she wants to show! As a result, the movie ends up becoming an amalgamation of a number of student-centric movies. A film that was supposed to celebrate the bond of friendship, as the name suggests, ends up teaching patriotism. Neither the director nor do I give you any reason to watch this film!<\/p>\n

Verdict<\/b>:<\/b> Some movies can really leave you brain-dead! Spare yourself the horror of watching Yaariyan!<\/p>\n
