While non-vegetarians lose no chance to flaunt their thick-gravy dishes, vegetarians are more or less stuck with the usual deal. So I decided to do something special for vegetarians, and the result was Veg Keema Matar. As you can see in the picture, the result was scrumptious, and the vegetarians had a lot to cheer for.<\/p>\n<p>I made Veg Keema Matar with<i>\u00a0soya<\/i>\u00a0granules, peas and\u00a0<i>paneer<\/i>\u00a0mixed together, with other typical ingredients. The dish goes well with any Indian bread and is perfect for small parties. So let&#8217;s see how to make it with this Veg Keema Matar Recipe.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients needed for\u00a0Veg Keema Matar<\/h2>\n<p><strong>(serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i>Soya<\/i>\u00a0granules &#8211; 1 cup<\/li>\n<li><i>Paneer<\/i>\u00a0&#8211; 1 cup (grated)<\/li>\n<li>Green peas &#8211; 1 cup<\/li>\n<li>Onion &#8211; 1 cup (grated)<\/li>\n<li>Garlic &#8211; 6 to 8 cloves (grated)<\/li>\n<li>Ginger &#8211; 1-inch piece (grated)<\/li>\n<li>Tomatoes &#8211; 1 cup (cut in small pieces)<\/li>\n<li>Red chili powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Turmeric powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Coriander powder &#8211; 2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\n<li>Fresh cream &#8211; 3 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Cashew nuts &#8211; 1\/2 cup (cut in halves and dry-roasted)<\/li>\n<li>Oil &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Lemon juice &#8211; 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Sugar &#8211; 1\/4 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Water &#8211; 1 cup<\/li>\n<li>Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>How to make Veg Keema Matar<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><em>Preparation time: 15 min.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Cooking time: 20 min.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heat oil in a pan and add onion. Fry till golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Add garlic and ginger and saute for 2-3 min.<\/li>\n<li>Add tomatoes and saute till oil starts to leave the sides.<\/li>\n<li>Add all dry\u00a0<i>masala<\/i>\u00a0and saute for 4-5 min.<\/li>\n<li>Add green peas and saute for 3-4 min.<\/li>\n<li>Add water, lemon juice, sugar,\u00a0<i>paneer<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>soya<\/i>\u00a0granules and boil for 2 min.<\/li>\n<li>Add cream and cook for about 1-2 min.<\/li>\n<li>Garnish with dry roasted cashew nuts, fresh coriander leaves and cream.<\/li>\n<li>Serve hot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hosting a party always puts me in a fix: what special to cook for the vegetarians?
