It can be made with many different ingredients like <em>gajar<\/em> (carrots), <em>besan<\/em> (gram flour), <em>aata<\/em> (wheat flour) and <em>sooji<\/em> (semolina), etc. Today I made a mixed-ingredient <em>halwa<\/em> from <em>aata, besan<\/em> and <em>sooji<\/em>, all together mixed with a lot of<em> desi ghee<\/em>. The taste just cannot be explained in words! It looked absolutely beautiful with the dry fruits garnishing. This is a perfect rich dish for special occasions and festive celebrations. Here is the Aata Besan Sooji Halwa Recipe to make.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients needed for Aata Besan Sooji Halwa<\/h2>\n<p><strong>(serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Aata<\/em> &#8211; 1\/4 cup<\/li>\n<li><em>Besan<\/em> &#8211; 1\/4 cup<\/li>\n<li><em>Sooji<\/em> &#8211; 1\/2 cup<\/li>\n<li>Sugar &#8211; 1 cup<\/li>\n<li><em>Desi ghee<\/em> &#8211; 1 cup<\/li>\n<li>Dry fruits &#8211; 1\/2 cup (chopped) (I used almonds, cashew nuts and <em>kishmish<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Water &#8211; 2 cups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>How to make Aata Besan Sooji Halwa<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><em>Preparation time: 5 min.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Cooking time: 15 min.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dry-roast the cut dry fruits and keep aside.<\/li>\n<li>Heat the ghee in a heavy-bottom pan or <em>kadhai<\/em> and add <em>sooji<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Fry till the\u00a0<em>sooji<\/em> changes color.<\/li>\n<li>Add <em>besan<\/em> and <em>atta<\/em> and fry till golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Add water and keep stirring till fluffy.<\/li>\n<li>Add sugar, mix well, and cook for 3-4 min.<\/li>\n<li>Cool slightly and garnish with dry fruits.<\/li>\n<li>Serve slightly hot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We should be glad that our culture has so many great recipes; among these,\u00a0halwa is probably one of the yummiest desserts in India.
