The green leafy vegetable is a good source of Vitamin A, calcium, potassium and phosphorus. In the past I&#8217;ve used <em>bathua<\/em> to make <em>parathe, poori<\/em> and<em> saag<\/em>, but today I mixed it with <em>dahi<\/em> to make Bathua Ka Raita. The <em>raita<\/em> is a always an excellent accompaniment for <em>biryani<\/em>, rice or any of the Indian main meals, in fact this is just a must have with every meal. This dish is just the right combo you need for nutrition and taste and is good for all. Here is Bathua Ka Raita Recipe for your bookmark and use.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All you need is (serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Bathua<\/em> leaves &#8211; 200 gms<\/p>\n<p>Dahi &#8211; 250 gms<\/p>\n<p>Rock salt &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Salt &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Red chili powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Cumin seed powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Dry mint powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Fresh coriander to garnish<\/p>\n<h2>Bathua Ka Raita Recipe<\/h2>\n<p>Preparation time: 15 min.<\/p>\n<p>Making time: 15 min.<\/p>\n<p>Cut the <em>bathua<\/em> leaves and boil them with lots of water for about 5-7 min till the leaves turn soft.<\/p>\n<p>Cool and strain the water, use the leaves to blend them into a smooth paste using a <em>mixie<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Whisk <em>dahi,<\/em> add rock salt, salt, cumin seed powder, dry mint powder, red chili powder and mix well.<\/p>\n<p>Add <em>bathua<\/em> paste and mix well.<\/p>\n<p>Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.<\/p>\n<p>Cool and serve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bathua has been used in India for a long time for many different dishes.
