While the thick ones are generally used <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 13px\">bharta<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> the long ones are used in curries and as ingredient to <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 13px\">sambhar<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">. The smallest variety can be used to fill inside with spices to make Bharwan Baingan. This dish is really unique and good for any main course, however since it is a bit dry it is best to serve it with some <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 13px\">dal<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> or any other curry. The taste comes out really nice as the inside of the <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 13px\">baingan<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"> gels very nicely with the spices. This appearance of the dish is also inviting and its sure to win you some accolades. So make it at home with this Bharwan Baingan Recipe and enjoy with your family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>All you need is (serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Small <em>baingan<\/em> &#8211; 5-6<\/p>\n<p>Oil &#8211; 4 tbsp<\/p>\n<p>Onion &#8211; 1 cup ( finely chopped )<\/p>\n<p>Ginger garlic paste &#8211; 2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Coriander powder &#8211; 2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Red chili powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Turmeric powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Garam masala<\/em> powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Amchoor<\/em> powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Salt to taste<\/p>\n<p>Coriander for garnishing<\/p>\n<h2>Bharwan Baingan Recipe<\/h2>\n<p>Preparation time: 10 minutes<\/p>\n<p>Cooking time: 20 minutes<\/p>\n<p>Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan.<\/p>\n<p>Add onion and fry till golden brown.<\/p>\n<p>Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 3-4 minute.<\/p>\n<p>Add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, <em>garam masala<\/em> powder, <em>amchoor<\/em> powder and salt and fry for 2-3 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Add little water if required.<\/p>\n<p>Remove from heat and let cool.<\/p>\n<p>Make 2 slits in <em>baingan<\/em> keeping the end intact.<\/p>\n<p>Fill the onion filling in between the slits.<\/p>\n<p>Heat the remaining 2 tbsp oil in a pan.<\/p>\n<p>Arrange the stuffed <em>baingan<\/em> in the pan.<\/p>\n<p>Simmer the heat to low.<\/p>\n<p>Cover the pan and cook the <em>baingan<\/em> for 10 minutes on each side.<\/p>\n<p>Put on a serving platter.<\/p>\n<p>Garnish with coriander leaves.<\/p>\n<p>Serve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Baingan has three to four varieties available in the market.
