This <em>Puri<\/em> is a great addition to your bread basket and would go well with any of the curries and specially <em>rasedaar aaloo ki subzi<\/em>. Just boil, cook and fill these in while making <em>Puri&#8217;s<\/em> to get the wonderful flavor in your meal. Use this Matar Ki Puri Recipe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All you need is (serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>For the dough<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Maida<\/em> &#8211; 2 &amp; 1\/2 cup<\/p>\n<p>Salt &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Oil &#8211; 2 tbsp and for frying<\/p>\n<p><em>For the filling<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Matar<\/em> &#8211; 1 cup<\/p>\n<p>Ginger &#8211; 1 inch piece (grated)<\/p>\n<p>Oil &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Heeng<\/em> &#8211; 1\/4 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Zeera<\/em> seeds &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Saunf<\/em> seeds &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Garam masala<\/em> powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Amchoor<\/em> powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Zeera<\/em> powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Salt to taste<\/p>\n<h2>Matar Ki Puri Recipe<\/h2>\n<p>Preparation time: 10 min.<\/p>\n<p>Cooking time: 30 min.<\/p>\n<p><em>For the dough<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mix <em>maida<\/em> with 2 tbsp oil and knead a soft dough using water as needed.<\/p>\n<p>Cover and keep aside for 30 min.<\/p>\n<p><em>For the filling<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Boil the <em>matar<\/em> with water until soft and strain.<\/p>\n<p>Mix with ginger and pound to make a coarse paste.<\/p>\n<p>Heat oil in a pan and temper with <em>zeera, saunf<\/em> and <em>heeng<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Add the <em>matar<\/em> paste with all dry <em>masala\u00a0<\/em>and fry for 5 to 6 min until dry. Keep aside.<\/p>\n<p><em>For the assembly<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Make small balls from the dough, spread each ball, place some filling inside and bring the ends together.<\/p>\n<p>Roll them into <em>Puri&#8217;s<\/em> dusting with <em>maida<\/em> as needed.<\/p>\n<p>Heat oil in a <em>kadhai<\/em> and deep fry the <em>Puri&#8217;s<\/em> until golden brown from both sides.<\/p>\n<p>Drain on a kitchen tissue any extra oil.<\/p>\n<p>Serve hot with your choice of curry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Matar or peas is a fairly versatile vegetable, it can be added to the dishes like matar paneer, keema matar, aaloo matar used in chaats like samosa,\u00a0other starters etc. This time I filled the green peas while making Puri to make Matar Ki Puri.
