This blends a great taste which has been made famous by the Punjabi&#8217;s settled all over the globe. Peshawar was also part of erstwhile Punjab, however now it falls on the other side of the Indian border. Nonetheless the taste of Peshawar has been famous all over, true to that taste is this dish made from <em>chole<\/em> or chick peas. Peshawari Chole Masala uses spices to create a wonderful magical taste which cannot be described in words. You can recreate this taste in your kitchen with this step by step recipe which I give to you today. Serve this dish with any Indian bread or rice for best results. So here is Peshawari Chole Masala Recipe. <strong>All you need is (serves 4)<\/strong> <em>Chole<\/em> &#8211; 250 gms Oil &#8211; 2 tbsp Onion &#8211; 2 cup (cut in small pieces) Ginger garlic paste &#8211; 2 tsp Tomato &#8211; 1 cup (cut in small pieces) Green chili paste &#8211; 1\/2 tsp Red chili powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp Turmeric powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp Coriander powder &#8211; 2 tsp Salt to taste <em>Chole masala<\/em> &#8211; 2 tsp Tea leaves &#8211; 2 tsp Fresh coriander to garnish<\/p>\n<h2>Peshawari Chole Masala Recipe<\/h2>\n<p>Preparation time: 15 min. Cooking time: 50 min. Soak <em>chole<\/em> in sufficient water overnight. Tie the tea leaves in a muslin cloth, add it to the <em>chole<\/em>, 1 tsp salt, water and cook in a pressure cooker for about 2 whistles. Remove the muslin cloth and keep <em>chole<\/em> with water aside. Heat oil in a pan, saute the onions till golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste, green chili paste and saute for another 3-4 min. Add tomatoes and saute till the oil leaves the sides. Add all dry <em>masala<\/em>, and saute for another 5-7 min. Add <em>chole<\/em> and water and cook for a few minutes till you reduce some water. Garnish with coriander leaves.
