Paratha&#8217;s can be made plain or filled with a multitude of vegetables and more. To make my meals today I filled it with potatoes and cauliflower to make Aaloo Gobhi Paratha. These two veggies give a great flavor to the\u00a0<em>paratha<\/em>. I served it some red chili pickle and plain curd and just enjoyed a lovely lunch. Whenever you make\u00a0<em>paratha&#8217;s<\/em>\u00a0its best to vary the fillings so you have a good variation in the basket. So make this variation also one of the choice, here is Aaloo Gobhi Paratha Recipe.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p><strong>(serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>For dough<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Whole wheat flour &#8211; 1 &amp; 1\/2 cup<\/li>\n<li>Salt &#8211; 1\/4 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Oil &#8211; 2 tsp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>For filling<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Potato &#8211; 1 cup (boiled and mashed)<\/li>\n<li><em>Gobhi<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; 1 cup (finely grated)<\/li>\n<li>Salt &#8211; 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Green coriander &#8211; 2 tsp (finely chopped)<\/li>\n<li>Ginger &#8211; 1 tsp (finely chopped)<\/li>\n<li>Green chilies &#8211; 1 tsp (finely chopped)<\/li>\n<li><em>Chaat masala<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Lemon juice &#8211; 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Ghee or oil to fry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Method of Preparation<\/h2>\n<p>Preparation time: 15 min.<\/p>\n<p>Cooking time: 20 min.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mix all the dough ingredients and use water as needed to knead a soft dough.<\/li>\n<li>Cover and keep aside for about 30 min.<\/li>\n<li>Mix all the filling ingredients in a bowl, divide in equal parts and keep aside.<\/li>\n<li>Divide the dough in equal parts and make lemon sized balls.<\/li>\n<li>Roll them into a disc using a rolling pin.<\/li>\n<li>Place one part of filling in the disc and bring the ends together to form a ball again.<\/li>\n<li>Roll it again into a disc about 7-8 mm thick ensuring no cracks on the surface.<\/li>\n<li>Heat a\u00a0<em>tava<\/em>\u00a0and cook the\u00a0<em>paratha<\/em>\u00a0applying\u00a0ghee or oil from both sides until golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Serve hot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Paratha is an all time favorite for me and a lot of my friends.
