The mixture of these gives a nice flavor and aroma to the preparations and it very tasty. I made my chicken with this mixture today and it was absolutely delectable with both\u00a0<em>roti<\/em>\u00a0and rice. This Kolhapuri Chicken, although a bit heavy, for sure would be finished to the last bite when you serve, so make sure you make ample quantity. Here is Kolhapuri Chicken Recipe for you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All you need is (serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Curry cut chicken &#8211; 500 gms<\/p>\n<p>Red chili powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Turmeric powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Onion &#8211; 2 cup (chopped)<\/p>\n<p>Tomato puree &#8211; 2 tbsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Zeera<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Methi<\/em>\u00a0seeds &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Dhania<\/em>\u00a0seeds &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Khuskhus<\/em>\u00a0seeds &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Til<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; 1 tsp Coconut &#8211; 1\/2 cup (grated)<\/p>\n<p><em>Laung<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; 5 to 6<\/p>\n<p>Green cardamom &#8211; 5<\/p>\n<p>Cinnamon stick &#8211; 1 inch piece<\/p>\n<p>Black peppercorn &#8211; 10<\/p>\n<p>Red chili &#8211; 4<\/p>\n<p><em>Heeng<\/em>\u00a0&#8211; 1 pinch<\/p>\n<p>Green chili paste &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Ginger garlic paste &#8211; 2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Salt to taste<\/p>\n<p>Oil &#8211; 3 tbsp<\/p>\n<p>Fresh\u00a0<em>dhania<\/em>\u00a0to garnish<\/p>\n<h2>Kolhapuri Chicken Recipe<\/h2>\n<p>Preparation time: 15 min.<\/p>\n<p>Cooking time: 45 min.<\/p>\n<p>In a bowl, mix chicken with red chili powder, turmeric powder, green chili paste, ginger garlic paste and keep for 1 hour.<\/p>\n<p>Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions till golden brown, drain and keep the onions aside.<\/p>\n<p>Dry roast all seeds along with coconut, cloves, green cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper corn, red chilies.<\/p>\n<p>In a grinder, grind the onions and dry roasted mixture to a paste.<\/p>\n<p>Heat the oil again and saute the mixture for 4-5 min.<\/p>\n<p>Add tomato puree and saute for another 4 to 5 min.<\/p>\n<p>Add salt, chicken, and cook for about 20 min or till done on medium heat.<\/p>\n<p>Garnish with fresh<em>\u00a0dhania<\/em>\u00a0leaves and serve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Kolhapur lies in the western state of Maharashtra and is famous for its use of Indian spices and coconut in the cooking.
