India is a divine abode of thousands of Gods and Goddesses who bless the country with their presence all over. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, the number of temples found in this country is something very extraordinary. What is more exceptional is the way these temples have been designed with utmost dexterity and precision. The beauty of the architectural style of these holy places demands serious adulation. There is a strong point of difference between the patterns of design used in the temples of North and the South. Since most of the time the temples of the South are taken into account while talking about the celestial magnificence, today I will write about some of the most famous temples of North India.<\/p>\n

1. Vaishno Devi Temple, Jammu<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ma Vaishnodevi temple is one of the most important temples of North India. It acquires a special significance in the lives of the majority of North Indians. It is the pilgrimage that every Hindu undertakes.<\/p>\n

2. Kashi-Vishwanath Temple, Varanasi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kashi Vishwanath Temple is the most famous temple of Lord Shiva. It stands on the banks of the River Ganga, the holiest river in Hindu Mythology. The temple is regarded as the most important of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.<\/p>\n

3. ISKCON Temple, Delhi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hare Rama Hare Krishna cult got this temple constructed to propagate the message of the Bhagwad Gita. Not only the divine spirituality but also the unimaginable beauty of this temple attracts people from all over the country and world.<\/p>\n

4. Sarnath Temple, Uttar Pradesh<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a world famous Buddhist site located near Varanasi. Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon at this place and thus it deems as one of four pilgrimage sites for the Buddhists.<\/p>\n

5. Golden Temple, Amritsar<\/strong><\/p>\n

Golden Temple<\/a> is the by far the most sacred place for the Sikhs all over. Sikhism propagates openness to all other religions and Golden Temple is the symbol of this belief. People of all religions are welcomed with great sincerity and respect at this place.<\/p>\n
