So here is South Indian Curd Rice Recipe for your use.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All you need is (serves 4)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rice &#8211; 1 &amp; 1\/2 cup<\/p>\n<p>Curd &#8211; 2 cup<\/p>\n<p>Salt to taste<\/p>\n<p>Carrot &#8211; 1 (shredded)<\/p>\n<p><em>Desi ghee<\/em> &#8211; 1 tbsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Zeera<\/em> &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Mustard seeds &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Curry leaves &#8211; 1 sprig<\/p>\n<p><em>Heeng<\/em> &#8211; 1 pinch<\/p>\n<p>Dry red chilies &#8211; 3 to 4<\/p>\n<h2>South Indian Curd Rice Recipe<\/h2>\n<p>Preparation time: 5 min.<\/p>\n<p>Cooking time: 25 min.<\/p>\n<p>Boil the rice with 3 cup water until cooked.<\/p>\n<p>Mash the rice lightly, add curd, salt &amp; shredded carrots and mix well.<\/p>\n<p>Heat <em>desi ghee<\/em> in a tempering pan, add <em>zeera<\/em> and mustard seeds.<\/p>\n<p>When the seeds starts to crackle, add <em>heeng<\/em>, curry leaves &amp; dry red chilies and temper for few seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Add the temper to the curd rice mixture.<\/p>\n<p>Serve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; South Indian Curd Rice is a staple in most of the South Indian homes.
