So why not end the weekend with a sweet note? I made this <em>besan ka halwa<\/em> for dessert and it was loved by all in the family. <em>Halwas<\/em> can be made with a variety of ingredients. <em>Besan<\/em> is one of the most common ingredient to make<em> halwa<\/em>, apart from <em>suji<\/em> and <em>atta<\/em>. To make this <em>halwa<\/em>, <em>besan<\/em> is fried with <em>ghee<\/em> on slow heat. The aroma that fills in the entire house is incredible. It is also a good alternative for diabetic patients as <em>besan<\/em> is good for them. Just replace the sugar with the artificial sweetener and you are good to go! So here is the recipe.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients needed for\u00a0Besan Ka Halwa<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Pure ghee<\/em> &#8211; 1\\2 cup<\/li>\n<li><em>Besan<\/em> &#8211; 1\\2 cup<\/li>\n<li>Sugar &#8211; 1\\2 cup<\/li>\n<li>Water &#8211; 2 cups<\/li>\n<li>Almonds and pistachios to garnish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to make Besan Ka Halwa<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Add <em>ghee<\/em> in a heavy bottom pan and add <em>besan<\/em> to it.<\/li>\n<li>Cook on low heat till<em> besan<\/em> is slightly browned and a nice aroma starts coming from it.<\/li>\n<li>Add sugar and cook for a minute.<\/li>\n<li>Add water and cook while continuously stirring.<\/li>\n<li>Cook till all the water has been absorbed by the <em>besan<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Garnish with chopped dry fruits like almonds and pistachios.<\/li>\n<li>You can also put a silver leaf on top, if you are serving to guests and want it to look richer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tips<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always cook the <em>besan<\/em> on low heat and keep stirring continuously, otherwise besan can burn from the bottom.<\/li>\n<li>You can increase or decrease the amount of sugar as per your liking.<\/li>\n<li>Do not overcook the <em>halwa<\/em>, otherwise it will be very dry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sunday is almost going to get over and it&#8217;s time to welcome the new week.
