Dekho\u2026Dekho wo aa gaya\u2026.<\/em>Prem is Back!! He is back after 16 long years. The pairing of Salman Khan and the Barjatyas who have given big hits earlier is back on silver screen after a long gap. Rajshri productions have always been popular for making movies on family values. Their movies have over tones of family values \u2013 Babuji ka ashirwaad, Maa ka dulaar, bhai-behan ka sath<\/em> and khaandaan ke sanskaar \u2013<\/em> along with a love story filled with so much pyaar.<\/em> \u2018Prem Ratan Dhan Payo\u2019<\/em> (PRDP) is no less than any typical Rajshri film. Moreover, the Salman Khan fan following made it a most-awaited watch even before its release.<\/p>\n

Plot<\/strong><\/p>\n

The story is about Prem Dilwala (Salman Khan) and Yuvraj Vijay Singh (Salman Khan). Yes! Salman is playing a double role in the film. Prem who is smitten by Princess Maithili (Sonam Kapoor), fiancee of Vjay Singh, goes to Pritam Pur to meet the princess. But, due to sudden turmoil and strenuous family relations of Vijay Singh, Prem had to take the place of Vijay. Will Prem be able to mend the strained relationships among the brothers and sisters, and will he be able to win the heart of Princes Maithili for Vijay is what PRDP is all about.<\/p>\n

Performances<\/strong><\/p>\n

Salman\u2019s fans will be really delighted to watch PRDP as he is playing a double role in the film. In one role, he is similar to the \u2018Dabangg\u2019<\/em> Salman, who is a rowdy and an angry young man. The other Salman, Prem Dilwala, is like Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi of \u2018Bajrangi Bhaijaan\u2019<\/em>, who is pure at heart, full of moral values and is lovable. In both the roles, which are transitional to one another, Salman manages to steal the show with his performance. It is truly a Salman Khan film.<\/p>\n

It seems Sooraj Barjatya has chosen Sonam Kapoor for the role of the princess because the character has to wear designer clothes, heavy make-up, walk with an attitude and oomph, which Sonam loves to do in real life too. Besides all this, she has not contributed much in the movie. Her dialogue deliveries lack perfection and her expressions, especially in the emotional scenes are the biggest let down.<\/p>\n

Anupam Kher is a veteran actor and has proved it once again in PRDP. Swara Bhaskar has a little role in the movie, but she has given a commendable performance. Neil Nitin Mukesh has shown that he can act too. Armaan Kohli, who plays the villain in the movie, is another disappointment. He should be only happy with the fact that he got a chance to be a part of such a big banner film.<\/p>\n

Director Sooraj R. Barjatya deserves the brownie points for making this movie look so grand. His detailing is quite visible in the stunning and lavish sets and the production team also deserves applause for successfully giving the royal look to the entire film. Even though there is so much royalty in the film, it somehow lacked reality. On the one hand, the story is easily predictable as it proceeds. On the other hand, the relations which are strained for years get mended with such an ease, is a difficult thing to happen in real life.<\/p>\n

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Music<\/h3>\n

The entire music album of \u2018Prem Ratan Dhan Payo\u2019<\/em> is composed by Himesh Reshammiya. Out of the total ten songs, the title track of the film is the biggest hit. The dubsmash of several celebrities on the song is making rounds in social media networks. Rajshri movies are known for a big list of songs in their movies; probably the reason for ten songs in \u2018Prem Ratan Dhan Payo\u2019 <\/em>too.<\/p>\n

Lavish sets, beautiful costumes, colourful backgrounds \u2013 all are delight to watch. The beautiful sets make it a royal fairy-tale love story. Salman Khan is actually the real hero of the film. Moral values, culture, family relations are the focal points of any Rajshri film, and PRDP too has every such feature.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Bad?<\/h3>\n

The script could have been a bit more interesting. It would have been better if the length and the number of songs in the films could have been shortened. The director should have worked more on Sonam\u2019s acting skills rather than her looks and clothes.<\/p>\n
