About Movie Ki & Ka<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ki & Ka is a film that deals with gender role reversal. The flick has Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles with Arjun playing the character of a stay-at-home husband and Kareena portraying the character of a successful marketing professional. Full of clich\u00e9s, Ki & Ka comes with a fresh pairing of Kareena and Arjun, both sharing an excellent on-screen chemistry. Director R. Balki has been thoroughly successful in poking fun at the usual stereotypes in our Indian society.<\/p>\n

Plot<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ki & Ka is all about the love story between a husband (Arjun) and wife (Kareena) with different ideologies. Delhi-based Kabir Bansal\/ Ka(played by Arjun Kapoor) is the topper of IIM-B but doesn\u2019t have any interest in pursuing business and wants to be like his mother- managing daily household activities. Contrary to him is Kia\/Ki (played by Kareena Kapoor) who is an aggressive and aspiring corporate big shot, who is super busy and believes in living the life of an independent woman, not the one that is shadowed by a man. While the two fall in love and decide to get married, there are some harsh hurdles awaiting the couple on the course of the gender role reversal. Issues including societal views, personal battles, perception of people and misunderstandings create turmoil in the cute love story between Ki & Ka. The flick\u2019s director R. Balki has made his best attempt in raising a strong voice against gender stereotyping.<\/p>\n

Performances<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, throwing spotlight on star performances, Kareena Kapoor (playing the role of Kia) is simply powerful. She looks ravishing and fun. Her superb dialogue delivery will make you believe in her character of a perfect corporate manager who is both arrogant and aggressive. After portraying a string of characters in male-centric films, Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen playing a substantial role that truly deserves applauds.<\/p>\n

Playing the role of household husband is Arjun Kapoor (Kabir) who has done a terrific job in Ki & Ka. His charming looks and intense acting have been effectively portrayed by the director. Overall, Arjun has done complete justice to the role. Ever since the trailer of Ki & Ka was released, both Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan have pinned huge hopes on the film. Paired for the very first time, the duo shares a sizzling chemistry that is definitely worth-a\u2013watch.<\/p>\n

Next is the tremendously talented actress Swaroop Sampat who has played the role of Kia\u2019s mother. Her character has been successful in adding a light humour to the film\u2019s plot.<\/p>\n

Finally, Ki & Ka has Rajat Kapoor (playing the role of Kabir\u2019s dad) who is believed to be an all-time spot-on. He too has delivered an excellent performance that is worth noticing during the entire journey of Ki & Ka.<\/p>\n

Ki & Ka Music<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ki & Ka comes with a laudable music score with \u201cHigh Heels\u201d having intense party vibes attached to it. Featuring Jaz Dhami, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Aditi Singh Sharma, the track is a typical Punjabi rap\/party track. Next is \u201cJi Huzoori\u201d which is a slow, romantic and melodious song sung by Mithoon and Deepali. The track titled \u201cMost Wanted Munda\u201d is a comedic one that bears a visible resemblance to \u201cMaa Da Laadla\u201d from Priyanka, John and Abhishek starrer Dostana. Other tracks including Foolishq, Pump It (The Workout Song) and Kabir Most Wanted Munda have refreshing beats that amazingly synchronize with the film\u2019s story.<\/p>\n

A fine script executed in a poor way is the sole downside of Ki & Ka. An overdose of drama coupled with tampered second half has also let the story lose its focus and go haywire.<\/p>\n
