This is the one with a long history in the folklore of Goa. It\u2019s the perfect place to experience water sports like scuba diving, banana rides, and jet skies. Beautiful dolphin viewing trips, too, can be witnessed here. In case you don&#8217;t know, the beach is featured in the film <em>The Bourne Supremacy<\/em> (2004).<\/p>\n<p>The center of the beach, near the main entrance, is quite chaotic as it is often overcrowded, but towards the peripheries, that is to the northern and southern sides, one can easily find places of calm and peace and some very beautiful beach resorts as well.<\/p>\n<p>Palolem\u00a0beach in South Goa is known for the Monkey Island. It is worth a visit, though the path is a bit rocky but very adventurous, and of course intriguing. And not to forget; a boat ride to see dolphins is a must!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Location<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Palolem\u00a0beach is located<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>around 2.5 kilometres from South Goa and about 40 minutes from Margao.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Best Time to Visit<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>November to February would be the best time to visit Goa and if you love rains then you must plan your trip between June and October. If you are a night owl,\u00a0plan a visit to Palolem after midnight or in the wee hours for a boat ride to nearby islands.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Hotels and Restaurants<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>There are a wide variety of options to choose from when it comes to accommodation. Around 40 hotels are present in the nearby areas. Also, unsurprisingly,\u00a0a wide variety of\u00a0\u00a0of restaurants and pubs are located in proximity. \u00a0<em>Fernandes, Magic Italy, Smugglers&#8217;<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Inn, Spicy Bella,\u00a0D&#8217;Costa Bar &amp; Restaurant\u00a0<\/em>are a favorite among locals and travelers.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Shopping<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The main road near Palolem is the best place for shopping in south Goa, with a variety of clothing and jewelry stores to choose from.
