Situated next to the north of Anjuna Beach, Vagator beach is one of the most pleasing and scenic beaches in Goa. Basically there are two beaches here: the Small and Big Vagator Beach. Vagator beach is a huge draw for party lovers from across the country.<\/p>\n

And for all the water sport lovers, Vagator is considered as the best beach as the prices are reasonable and the water sport activities on offer (parasailing, banana rides, scooter and boat rides to name a few) are many. Also, there are many shacks on the beach where one can relax and enjoy the stunning view with cool beverages and delicious Goan food.<\/p>\n

Location<\/h3>\n

This place is about one hour’s drive\u00a0from the Dabolim airport. The nearest railway station is at Tivim. It is around 8 kilometres from the city Mapusa and 22 kilometres from Goa’s capital Panaji.<\/p>\n

Best Time to Visit<\/h3>\n

November to February would be the best time to visit Goa and if you love the rains then you must be here between the months of June and October.<\/p>\n

Places to Stay and Eat<\/h3>\n

There are many hotels for accommodation in nearby areas; that said one can also opt for a service apartment for a longer stay within 5 to 7 kilometers radius. Ozran Heights Beach Resort, Bethany Inn and Orritel Village Square are some of the prominent places to stay around the Vagator area. Places like Thalassa, Tin Tin, One, Al Cove and Waters Beach Lounge & Grill are a rage with the tourists when it comes to food.<\/p>\n

Shopping<\/h3>\n

If you want to go\u00a0on a shopping spree, then you must wait until Wednesday, for there is a flea market here every Wednesday at the nearby Anjuna Beach. And of course, you must come equipped with your bargaining skills\u00a0\u00a0as\u00a0actual prices can dip\u00a0way below 50% of the quoted price!<\/p>\n

How to Reach<\/h3>\n

Vagator beach is approximately 42 kilometers away from Goa International Airport and the nearest railway station is Tivim. Rickshaws and taxis are easily available for intra-city tours.<\/p>\n
