The brown color seeds are high in their protein with zinc and folate as other nutritional contents. Since long it has been a part of north Indian cuisine and one which has been served in the street shops with so many different variations with <em>bhature, samosa, chaat,<\/em> etc. <em>Punjabi chole masala<\/em> goes well with any of the Indian breads like <em>naan<\/em> or <em>roti<\/em> or with white rice and is fairly filling in its contents. Howsoever it may fill your stomach, the heart never gets filled with this amazing dish. We will cover the variations in another article, but here we give you your very own Punjabi<em> chole masala<\/em> recipe.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients needed for\u00a0Punjabi Chole Masala<\/p>\n<p><em>Chole<\/em> &#8211; 1.5 cup<\/p>\n<p>Black tea &#8211; 1.5 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Onions &#8211; 2 chopped<\/p>\n<p>Tomatoes &#8211; 1.5 chopped<\/p>\n<p>Salt to taste<\/p>\n<p>Turmeric powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Coriander powder &#8211; 2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Red Chili powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Kitchen king <em>masala<\/em>&#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Garam masala<\/em> &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Chole masala<\/em> &#8211; 2 tsp<\/p>\n<p><em>Jeera<\/em> powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Oil &#8211; 2 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Ginger garlic paste &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Tamarind paste &#8211; 1 tsp<\/p>\n<p>Coriander to garnish<\/p>\n<h2>Punjabi Chole Masala Recipe<\/h2>\n<p>Keep <em>chole<\/em> in warm water overnight<\/p>\n<p>Boil <em>chole<\/em> with black tea just before preparing<\/p>\n<p>Take oil in a pan<\/p>\n<p>Add chopped onions<\/p>\n<p>Fry till well sauteed or golden brown<\/p>\n<p>Add ginger garlic paste<\/p>\n<p>Fry for around 4 minutes<\/p>\n<p>Add all the dry <em>masala<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Fry till oil comes out<\/p>\n<p>Add chopped tomatoes<\/p>\n<p>Fry for 3-4 minutes<\/p>\n<p>Add <em>chole<\/em> and 2 cup water<\/p>\n<p>Cook for 10 minutes<\/p>\n<p>Add tamarind paste<\/p>\n<p>Garnish with fresh coriander<\/p>\n<p>Serve hot with <em>naan\/ roti<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One another very popular Indian dish which originated in the state of Punjab is chole masala.
