A pure Islamic edifice, it is of great significance to the Muslim community. The construction of the building was started by Muhammad Mohsin in 1841 and got its present structure in 1861.<\/p>\n<p>This two storied structure has a grand tower clock with two dials running with a single central machine. The walls of the mosque is adorned with scriptures from the Quran. It also has a beautiful prayer hall called &#8216;Jari Dalan&#8217;. The hall has high quality granite and marble flooring, chandeliers, candles and lanterns. There is a central wooden throne where the <i>Maulabi<\/i> (priest) usually sits.
