Location<\/b>: Pamphawati Gurungni Road, Darjeeling, West Bengal<\/p>\n

Established in 1854, Happy Valley Tea Estate is the oldest tea estate of Darjeeling. Spread over 437 acres of land, it is located at an altitude of 6,800 feet and hence, is also one of the world’s highest tea factories.<\/p>\n

Just 3 kilometers away from Darjeeling, every visitor happily visits the Happy Valley Tea Estate. The plantations here are as old as 150 years and the wide stretches of lush green tea bushes are worth photographing! The entire procedure of tea plucking, procession and packaging is interesting to experience. Tea lovers can surely buy some fresh tea from here. A guide will help you tour the tea estate and give you complete details about the types of tea and the entire process. These guides are basically the employees of the Tea Estate who charge a nominal fee and take you on an excursion around the estate.<\/p>\n

Choose among a wide range of flavours and sip the aromatic tea at the nearby Happy Gold Cafe. In case you are trekking up or down the tea estate, there are a few routes via the estates where you get to see some spectacular views of nature. The localities will surely guide you with this.<\/p>\n
