He may not be able to see but he can certainly see through. And when he does, he will see it through right until the end. This is what Sanjay Gupta has brought out in the most gripping way as only he could.<\/p>\n<p>Kaabil is a love story between a blind couple who are very much in love and celebrate life for every moment it offers. That was till two evil brothers step into their lives and do wrong, very wrong. The hapless blind girl falls victim to the lust of these men who have neither morality nor humanity, as they proceed to do what they do.<\/p>\n<p>The brutality of the incident only triggers a reaction within the blind husband, a young dubbing artist, who now transforms into vengeance personified.<\/p>\n<p>Rohan, the blind husband, is played by Hrithik Roshan, while Supriya or Su, the blind wife, is played by Yami Gautam. The two evil brothers are played out by real life brother, Ronit and Rohit Roy. The policeman is played by Girish Kulkarni, who audiences will remember as the Geeta Phogat\u2019s Coach in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/movies\/dangal-review-aamir-bags-gold-again\">Dangal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sanjay Gupta has pulled off a tightly scripted movie with some intense performances from both protagonists and succeeds in carrying the audience along the gripping journey frame-by-frame.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Performances<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Rohan is a young dubbing artist who take life as it comes and lives every moment with zest. He meets his to be wife, Supriya and both fall in love in the most natural way. The first half of the movie simply has the audience falling in love with both, who seems simply made-for-each-other.<\/p>\n<p>That is until the \u2018incident\u2019 that scars their lives and destroys their world of bliss. The second half is all about intensity of revenge that has the support of the audience who all end up craving for revenge on behalf of both. That\u2019s where both Hrithik and Yami succeed and score with the audience.<\/p>\n<p>The first half celebrates their on-screen companionship and compatibility comes along so nicely that audiences will in parts forget their visual impairment. The second half shocks in the vengeful transition in Hrithik, who saves his superlative best for the second half. Without doubt, one of his best performances till date. Both he and Yami have the audiences rooting for their terrific chemistry right through the film. Together, they simply win over you.<\/p>\n<p>Ronit Roy continues to live up to his reputation of taking his roles seriously and plays out the evil corporator to the hilt. His reel and real life brother Rohit, is equally disgusting in his role and that\u2019s where they both come out as masters of their craft. The very fact that they are able to successfully bring out the viewer\u2019s disgust, is their show of brilliance.<\/p>\n<p><em>How does it end? <\/em>Well that\u2019s what one has to go out and see! This one is all set to get a major thumbs up from film buffs and critics alike.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Kaabil Music<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Rajesh Roshan has composed the music for Kaabil. He Actor and Director Rakesh Roshan\u2019s younger brother and Hrithik Roshan\u2019s uncle. Having delivered several hit music over the years, he has been consistently creating music for most of Rakesh Roshan\u2019s films. In Kaabil, he has managed to carry out the sense of emotion and pace of the film as it moves forward.<\/p>\n<p><em>Mon Amour<\/em> is my favourite song in the film both for its melody and picturisation. Vishal Dadlani once again shows his voice matches his composition skills.<\/p>\n<p>Music composer Rajesh Roshan has placed a lot of faith in Jubin Nautiyal and has given him three songs in the film. Jubin Nautiyal , on his part, has lived upto that faith.<\/p>\n<p><em>Kisi se Payar Ho Jaye<\/em> is a retake of the earlier hit song from the 70s hit film &#8211; \u2018Julie\u2019 and Jubin Nautiyal gives it a nice youthful voice and a refreshing touch to the original number.<\/p>\n<p><em>Kuch Din<\/em> is a nice easy paced love song and Jubin once again renders it beautifully.<\/p>\n<p><em>Hasseno Ka Deewana<\/em> is carries on with the tradition of old hits with a new twist tradition. It a heart rendering love story with a major disruption. The film is worth going for its gripping and intense performance as also for the melodious music that keeps pace with the mood.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What\u2019s bad?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The portrayal of visually impaired persons is perhaps not fully representative. A more realistic look would have been right for such a gripping film. The film could have done with some more original scores rather than rely on rehashed old hits.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Verdict<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>It\u2019s a movie to go watch. And remember to carry along a handkerchief for tears of anger and joy as the movie unfolds.
