With just two years left for another general election BJP government needs to prove its worth before its performance is put to test in the 2024 elections.<\/p>\n<p>Several new schemes have been launched till now and some of the old schemes have been restructured or extended seeking their progress. From uplifting of the backward states to addressing the issue of malnutrition among women and children, from hindering drug trafficking among the youth to set up of solar plants in the rural areas, Modi Government is taking care of all the weak areas of the Indian economy through its schemes and programs.<\/p>\n<p>Following are the schemes\/programs launched by Modi Government for the benefit of its citizen and the country as a whole.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>1. The scheme will include the on-going centrally sponsored schemes-Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) and the Senior Citizen Health Insurance Scheme (SCHIS). On the auspicious occasion of the 72nd Independence Day, our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the scheme. On 23rd September 2018, Ayushman Bharat Yojana was finally launched as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan. In 2022, the government has decided to expand the focus area of this health insurance scheme and cover almost 40 crore more citizens who are currently not covered under any other health insurance scheme. Currently the scheme holds almost 50 Crore benificiaries.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>2. Solar Charkha Mission<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/government\/schemes-launched-by-modi-government\/attachment\/solar-charkha-mission\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-82100\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-82100 size-full\" title=\"Solar Charkha Mission\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Solar-Charkha-Mission.jpg\" alt=\"Solar Charkha Mission\" width=\"669\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Solar-Charkha-Mission.jpg 669w, https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Solar-Charkha-Mission-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Solar-Charkha-Mission-665x348.jpg 665w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 669px) 100vw, 669px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nPresident Ram Nath Kovind launched Solar Charkha Mission on June 27, 2018, in which the government will be providing a subsidy of Rs. 550 crore to the thousands of artisans and generating employment in the rural areas. The Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) will cover the 50 identified clusters across the country including the Northeast and in each cluster 200 to 2,000 artisans such as weavers, spinners, and other skilled artists will be employed. The aim of the Solar Charkha Mission is to employ more than 1 Lakh individuals. Along with this mission, the government also launched a Sampark Portal, a digital platform on which five lakh job seekers can connect with the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME).<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>3. Transformation of Aspirational Districts Programme<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/government\/schemes-launched-by-modi-government\/attachment\/transformation-of-aspirational-districts\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-82101\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-82101 size-full\" title=\"Transformation of Aspirational Districts\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Transformation-of-Aspirational-Districts.jpg\" alt=\"Transformation of Aspirational Districts\" width=\"669\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Transformation-of-Aspirational-Districts.jpg 669w, https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Transformation-of-Aspirational-Districts-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Transformation-of-Aspirational-Districts-665x348.jpg 665w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 669px) 100vw, 669px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nNITI Aayog announced &#8220;Transformation of Aspirational Districts&#8221; programme which aims to quickly transform and uplift 117 backward districts in India in terms of basic amenities, infrastructure facilities, health facilities, standards of living, etc. The primary areas of focus in this programme are Health &amp; Nutrition, Agriculture &amp; Water Resources, Education, Financial Inclusion &amp; Skill Development, and Basic Infrastructure which would help the Government to decide which district has performed better under this programme. Each area of focus carries a weightage according to which the districts will be ranked, Health &amp; Nutrition carries 30%, similarly Education carries 30% while the rest of the others carry 20% and 10 % each.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>4. The main objectives of this scheme are to attain proper nutritional status among children from 0-6 years, adolescent girls, pregnant women, and lactating mothers in a timely manner; reduce stunting, undernutrition, and anaemia among young children, women, and adolescent girls; and lowering low birth weight by at least 2% per annum. Under this scheme the government has reached out to more than 12.2 crore women, 6.2 crore men and 13 crore children.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>5. The government has provided a financial assistance of Rs. 21 crore towards this scheme. The scheme monetarily assists the states and the Union Territories engaged in the controlling of inter-state and cross-border drug trafficking.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>6. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/government\/gobar-dhan-scheme-striving-for-a-better-life-in-villages\">GOBAR-Dhan scheme<\/a> is an effort by the government to improve the living conditions in the Indian villages and make them open-defecation free. A segment of the Swachh Bharat initiative, this scheme will focus on useful conversion of solid waste and cattle dung into manure and biogas.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>7. This scheme comprises of 11 different schemes and missions under a single umbrella. The main aim of this scheme is the comprehensive development of the entire agriculture and allied sector. It is launched for the welfare of farmers and is a major step towards \u201cDoubling the Farmers Income by 2022\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>8. It is an overarching program which will incorporate digital technology and introduce skill development in the school education system. An annual grant of five thousand to twenty thousand rupees will be provided for strengthening libraries in schools under the program. The scheme unifies the elements of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/society\/sarva-shiksha-abhiyan\">Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA)<\/a>, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), and Teacher Education (TE) to treat school education holistically, from pre-school to Class 12 levels.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>9. The main objectives of this scheme are to revitalize groundwater level and create sufficient water storage for agricultural purposes; rejuvenation of surface water bodies so that groundwater level can be increased, especially in the rural areas; recharging sources of groundwater and ensure effective use of water by involving people at local level. The scheme was launched in water-stressed states such as Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>10. First &#8220;Khelo India School Games&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/government\/schemes-launched-by-modi-government\/attachment\/khelo-india-school-games\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-82108\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-82108 size-full\" title=\"Khelo India School Games\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Khelo-India-School-Games.jpg\" alt=\"Khelo India School Games\" width=\"669\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Khelo-India-School-Games.jpg 669w, https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Khelo-India-School-Games-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/Khelo-India-School-Games-665x348.jpg 665w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 669px) 100vw, 669px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe Central Government of India inaugurated the first edition of the Khelo India School Games (KISG) at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi from January 31 to February 8, 2018. This program highlighted India\u2019s young sporting talent and their potential in sports. The main objective behind KISG were to revive the sports culture in India at the grass-root level, to build a strong foundation of all the sports played in the country, and make India a great sporting nation. This mega event in 2018 was held across 16 disciplines in the under-17 age category. Around 5,000 school children from all the 28 states and 8 union territories participated in the event. Now again, in 2022 another edition of Khelo India University Games 2021 is under-way. The games commenced on April 24 and will go on until May 3, 2022 at the Sree Kanteerava Indoor stadium in Karnataka.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>11. National Bamboo Mission (Restructured under Budget 2018)<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/government\/schemes-launched-by-modi-government\/attachment\/national-bamboo-mission\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-82109\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-82109 size-full\" title=\"National Bamboo Mission\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/National-Bamboo-Mission.jpg\" alt=\"National Bamboo Mission\" width=\"669\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/National-Bamboo-Mission.jpg 669w, https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/National-Bamboo-Mission-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/National-Bamboo-Mission-665x348.jpg 665w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 669px) 100vw, 669px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nNational Bamboo Mission has been restructured by the government in the Union Budget 2018 in order to promote commercial bamboo cultivation in the northeastern states to boost the income of the bamboo farmers. The Union Government has allocated Rs. 1,290 crore towards the mission to promote holistic development of bamboo production as an industry in the country. It will offer a continuous source of income to the bamboo farmers and communities owning bamboo groves. There is a proposition of utilizing this mission under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/government\/pradhan-mantri-awas-yojna-housing-for-all-by-2022\">Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana<\/a>, the government\u2019s flagship programme for housing to set up bamboo houses. In Financial year 2020-2021, the government released over 64 crore to the states to fund the National Bamboo Mission.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3>12. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/government\/1-crore-loan-in-59-minutes-modis-diwali-gift-to-msmes\">One Crore Loan in 59 minutes for MSMEs<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/government\/schemes-launched-by-modi-government\/attachment\/loan-scheme-for-msme-2\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-82113\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-82113 size-full\" title=\"loan scheme for msme\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/loan-scheme-for-msme.jpg\" alt=\"loan scheme for msme\" width=\"669\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/loan-scheme-for-msme.jpg 669w, https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/loan-scheme-for-msme-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/ci-moi-images\/my-india\/2018\/07\/loan-scheme-for-msme-665x348.jpg 665w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 669px) 100vw, 669px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nModi administration announced this scheme for the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on the eve of Diwali. As per this scheme, the eligible enterprises can avail loans up to Rs. 1 crore and it will be sanctioned within an hour.
