The temple has its association with the Mughal Era. Since then, it has been altered and maintained to how it looks today.<\/p>\n<p>Dedicated to the Parashvanath, the temple complex has a <i>Manastambha<\/i>, a column of honour. The temple is made of red sandstone and its interiors are adorned with beautiful carvings, pure gold artwork and paintwork. There is a devotional hall at the first floor of the temple. The temple complex also has a book store where a wide collection of Jainism literature is available.<\/p>\n<p>The Digambar Jain Temple is known for its unique medical center for birds, i.e, the \u201cBird&#8217;s Hospital&#8217; which renders its charitable services inspired from Lord Mahavir&#8217;s message of &#8216;Live and Let Live&#8217;. The hospital serves injured partridges bought by Jain merchants and also have special and separate wards where pigeons, sparrows, parrots and other domestic species of birds are treated. It was founded in 1956 and is managed by Aggarwal Digambar Jain Panchayat.
