Plot:<\/strong> The film “Kesari” is based on the epic battle of Saragarhi, which by some military historians is the greatest last standing battle ever. The film is about martyrs Havildar Ishar Singh and his 21 soldiers of the 36th<\/sup> Sikh Regiment (Commanded by British India) that bravely fought against 10,000(approximately) Afghan invaders.<\/p>\n

Movie Review:<\/strong> Akshay Kumar has donned the role of the heroic Havildar Ishar Singh. His character is the main anchor of the film that keeps it together or you can say that he is the film itself. He looks exactly like Ishar Singh and has done his part with full dedication. The movie is about Havildar Ishar Singh and his 21 soldiers of the 36th<\/sup> Sikh Regiment who were martyred while fighting 10,000 (approximately) Afghan invaders. Parineeti Chopra plays the role of Jeevani, Ishar\u2019s wife. She has a very few scenes and has been added to the film just for commercial purposes. She just brings the love angle to the warrior story and has been thanked specially in the beginning of the film for the same.<\/p>\n

The movie has a few blood boiling and goosebumps giving scenes. This movie honors the great warrior race of Sikh and those 21 Indian soldiers that were martyred in the Battle of Saragarhi. The movie has some classic cinematography and there are a few scenes that are at par with the classic Hollywood battles such as 300, Troy etc. Unlike our Tollywood directors this movie has all the action sequences that are believable and seem realistic. The action director deserves an applause for the kind of battle that has been potrayed. The only problem with this film is the first half where there are some unnecessary 20 minutes sequence. The second half of the movie is dynamic and thrilling. The patriotic Indian from you is bound to come out during this movie. There were people saying slogans of \u201cBole so Nihal, Sat Sri Akal\u201d in the movie theater itself. The surroundings in the theatre were full of respect and patriotism.<\/p>\n

Our Verdict:<\/strong> Please go and watch this movie for the greatest ever last stand battles. Watch it for the 21 martyred Sikh soldiers who had made our country proud. It is a definite magnet which will pull the crowd. 3.5\/5<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
