The haveli looks like an old battered structure now, but was once home to India’s most celebrated Urdu poet. This haveli was given to him by a physician who was a fan. It’s the same place where Ghalib has written some of the finest poetry. After he passed away, government took possession of this place and put it on the auction block. However, the buyer didn’t leave any legal heir. Later in 1999, Delhi government restored a part of this haveli and turned it into Ghalib’s Museum. In this nostalgic museum, you can see many relics and objects owned by Ghalib.

Timings: 10 am – 6 pm

Entry Fee: Free

Location: Qasim Jan Street, Ballimaran Road, Haveli Haider Kuli, Old Delhi

Nearest Metro Station: Chandni Chowk (Yellow Line)

3.
