Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi to discourage the use of plastic, the PM sat with the group of women and picked plastic with them on Wednesday in Mathura. The PM met with some garbage workers as part of the \u201cSwachhta Hi Seva” programme. Later the garbage worker women were honoured.<\/p>\n

Gujarat & Uttarakhand Govts. provide respite to traffic violators<\/h2>\n

Gujarat government on Tuesday has given a respite to the traffic offenders. Of late the new motor vehicles act has been imposed all over the country. Gujarat government has decided to reduce the penalties by 25% to 90%, then those notified by the Central government. State government said that penalties are reduced on the humanitarian and compassionate ground. While Uttarakhand<\/a><\/span> government slashed the penalties by 50 percent.<\/p>\n

First cross border pipeline cuts fuel prices in Nepal<\/h2>\n

India and Nepal on Tuesday unveiled the first cross border oil product pipeline, which would help Nepal to cut its fuel price by Rs 2 per litre. This 69 KM pipeline scheme was jointly inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Nepali counterpart KP Sharma through a video conference.<\/p>\n

Pune cops search academic flat in Noida<\/h2>\n

Pune<\/a><\/span> police on Tuesday searched Delhi University\u2019s, Assistant Professor Hany Babu’s Noida flat for six hours. The police operation is linked to the Elgar Parishad probe. Related to this case, several academics were arrested for their links with the Maoists. Later the professor said, \u201cKeeping books on terrorism doesn’t make me a terrorist\u201d. Meanwhile Delhi University Teachers’ Association has condemned the police act and described it is an attack on the freedom of expression.<\/p>\n

Ravidas devotees to offer prayer on 10th of every month<\/h2>\n

Over hundred devotees of Ravidas\u00a0 gathered near the demolished temple site on Tuesday and offered prayers on the road under the presence of heavy police surveillance. The devotees raised their voice for the reconstruction of temple on the same spot and said large number of people will gather here on the 10th of every month to force their demand.<\/p>\n

Delhi Govt. to set up 3 hospitals in 6 months<\/h2>\n

National capital will see three new hospitals in just six months\u2019 time. The government has taken this step to boost the medical facility in Delhi<\/a><\/span>. Its capacity would be twice of the famed Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RML). Delhi government on Tuesday claimed that 85% of the work of Indira Gandhi Hospital has already been completed.<\/p>\n

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman<\/a><\/span> is not ready to accept the fact that automobile sector is badly hit, and huge job losses have happened due to economic slump. Goldman Sachs poker addict staff transfers huge money to pay off debt<\/h2>\n

Ashwani Jhunjhunwala, the vice-president of ‘Goldman Sachs’ and his aide Vedanta Rungta on Tuesday were arrested by Bengaluru police for transferring $5.4 million (Rs 38.8 crore) from the company’s account to a foreign company. The motif behind the huge transfer was to pay off their poker debts. The culprits were untraceable since Monday, but police finally handcuffed the guilty party on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

6 children die in Karnataka due to Ganesh idol immersion<\/h2>\n

Ganesh idol immersion at a village in Kolar district of Karnataka<\/a><\/span>, on Tuesday turned into a tragedy, when six children got drowned in a tank in the process of immersion. The children were between the age group of 11 to 14. The bodies of the deceased were recovered and shifted to a government hospital.<\/p>\n

The BJP Telangana<\/a><\/span> unit made an uproar on Monday against the state government over a column written by chief minister’s chief public relations officer, in which he claimed that the appointment of the Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan was illegal. BJP slammed the state government and demanded an unconditional apology from the K Chandrashekar Rao, the chief minister of Telangana.<\/p>\n

India to ink on RCEP, some sectors oppose<\/h2>\n

Despite opposition by the steel and dairy sectors against the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) treaty, India has invited representatives of RCEP in Capital on 14-15 September to ink on this agreement. Infantry troops of the army got a major boost on Wednesday when the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully test fired \u2018Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile\u2019 (MPATGM) from Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. This missile is equipped with ultra-modern technology developed by DRDO.<\/p>\n
