Sanjeev Kumar\u2019s<\/span><\/em>\u00a01978 iconic\u00a0<\/span>dramedy\u00a0<\/span><\/em>by B R Chopra<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/em>has been re-adapted by director Mudassar Aziz (who has previously done films like\u00a0<\/span>\u2018Dulha Mil Gaya\u2019<\/span><\/em>,\u00a0<\/span>\u2018Happy Bhag Jayegi\u2019<\/span><\/em>,<\/span>\u00a0\u2018Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi\u2019<\/span><\/em>) and turned it into a modern-day interpretation of relationship which is based on a different value system.<\/span><\/p>\n

Starring\u00a0<\/span>Kartik Aryan<\/span><\/em>\u00a0as \u2018Pati\u2019,\u00a0<\/span>Bhumi Pednekar<\/span><\/em>\u00a0as \u2018Patni\u2019 and\u00a0<\/span>Ananya Pandey<\/span><\/em>\u00a0as \u2018Woh\u2019, the trailer suggest the film is dealing with infidelity, wrapped up in sex-comedy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The trailer opens with Karthik Aryan\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>\u201cmen are the victim and women are mean\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em>monologue. Then we are introduced to \u2018Patni\u2019 in Salwaar Kameez, uttering the word sex. And finally, the fantasy which is found outside of the marriage \u2018Woh\u2019 in all glamourized urban-look. And lastly, a best friend played by\u00a0<\/span>Aparshakti Khurrana<\/span><\/em>\u00a0who got hero\u2019s back which we assume would play a role in hiding the affair.<\/span><\/p>\n

The very first few glimpses of the film raises a lot of questions of what is sanskaari and what is not. The image of a salwaar kameez implies to be a na\u00efve housewife and short dress to be an exuberant, independent woman.<\/span><\/p>\n

While we love to guess that there\u2019s more to the trailer which will handle a subject like infidelity with sensitivity, the trailer talk is entirely uneasy.<\/span><\/p>\n
