Pagalpanti, starring Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, trailer is out. From the director of films like No Entry (2005), Welcome (2007), Welcome Back (2015), Singh Is Kinng (2008), Anees Bazmee is now all set to bring his new action-comedy ‘Pagalpanti.’<\/span><\/p>\n

The trailer is three-minute-long and is a little too all over the place. Even with VFX themed comedy, and “mindless” jokes, the trailer misses tickling the funny bone.<\/span><\/p>\n

The entire trailer is filled with big names such as Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, John Abraham, Pulkrit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, Urvashi Rautela, Saurabh Shukla. Still, nothing seems to be too convincing as far as the trailer is concerned.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, comedy films like these have embraced being called “brainless.” And with the acceptance of this title given, the makers take a lot of liberty to be flimsy beyond imagination. Not only being casual or flimsy about their art, they often leave behind their sensibilities and, most important, responsibility as makers. Something which we have seen recently in Mudassar Aziz’s\u00a0<\/span>‘Pati Patni Aur Woh.’<\/span><\/em>\u00a0A rape joke in 2019’s comedy-drama. Though there is not any problematic line in the trailer, however, it hints at the possibility of the same. As Warsi says,\u00a0<\/span>“… kitni hawww….havla hain ye…”\u00a0<\/span><\/em>to Urvashi Rautela, who seems to be another eye candy in film. The entire trailer has two dialogues by its women \u2013 one is from Ileana D’Cruz, who says,\u00a0<\/span>“…mujhe apne sare paise wapis chahiye abhi ke abhi”<\/span><\/em>\u00a0and Kirti Kharbanda\u00a0<\/span>“… humare yaha toh blast hote rehte hain”.\u00a0<\/span><\/em>It seems like women in Bazmee’s universe are predetermined dull-witted.<\/span><\/p>\n
