They are received by <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/government\/politician\/narendra-modi\"><strong>Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, Defence Minister, the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and the three Service Chiefs along with other dignitaries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>National Flag<\/strong> unfolded, as the <strong>National Anthem<\/strong> played and the <strong>21 Gun Salute<\/strong> was given to the Chief Guest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Parade commences with <strong>Mi17<\/strong> Helicopters flying low in V formation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lt General Asit Mistry<\/strong>, the <strong>Delhi Area, and Parade Commander<\/strong>\u00a0lead the parade, followed by Second-in-Command Maj Gen Alok Kacker.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Military Veterans<\/strong> and highest honour medal winners in Jeeps followed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The smartly turned out awe-inspiring Horsemen of the <strong>61<sup>st<\/sup> Cavalry<\/strong> came down Rajpath in their disciplined and trained horses. The Regiment has earned 31 Battle Honours, and the contingent was led by Capt. Deepanshu Sheoran.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The menacing Mechanized Tank Column of the <strong>T-90 Bhishma<\/strong> came rumbling down, led by T-90 Bhishma Capt. Sunny Chahar<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The recently inducted <strong>K-9 Vajra-T<\/strong>, track-mounted 155 mm Howitzer led by Capt. Abhinav Sahu of 269 Medium Regiment (Artillery) came next.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Capt Mrigank Bhardwaj next led the recently inducted 155 mm <strong>Dhanush<\/strong> Artillery Gun contingent. The Army also showcased the <strong>Short Span Bridging System,<\/strong> used to create temporary bridges over wet and dry battle areas. It was led by Capt. Adhiraj Pathak of 64 Assault Regiment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">People were awed to see Army Aviation Corps\u2019 Lt Col VK Bakshi lead the four <strong>Rudra ALH<\/strong> helicopter formation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Akash<\/strong> short-range Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) system came next, led by Maj Ankit Pahil.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Marching Contingent<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The dreaded <strong>Commandos <\/strong>of the<strong> Parachute<\/strong> <strong>Regiment<\/strong> led Maj Nikhil Shaurya came trotting down Rajpath in a display of strength, stamina, and commitment. The regiment motto is \u2018Shatrujeet.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Next was the <strong>20 Grenadiers<\/strong> contingent led by Maj Anirudh Nair.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To the rear was the 80-Band joint contingent of the <strong>Armoured Corps<\/strong> and <strong>MEG<\/strong> Centre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The majestic <strong>Sikh Light Infantry<\/strong> led by Maj Anjum Gorka marched next and followed by Capt. Rahul Singh Kataria-led <strong>Kumaon Regiment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the most inspiring sights was to see fourth-generation <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mapsofindia.com\/my-india\/government\/follow-captain-tania-shergill-and-how-women-can-join-the-indian-army\">Army officerCapt. Tanya Shergill<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, smartly lead the <strong>all-men<\/strong> <strong>Corps of Signals <\/strong>contingent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Army Air Defence<\/strong> contingent was next and led by Capt. Vikas Kumar Sahu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first among Tableaus was the <strong>Military Veterans<\/strong>. Bringing up the rear was the <strong>Navy<\/strong> Brass Band playing \u2018Jai Bharti.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following the band were 144 smart young sailors of the <strong>Indian Navy<\/strong> led by three women officers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Naval tableau followed depicting the navy\u2019s presence in all three battle theatres &#8211; sea, land, and air.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Air Force<\/strong> band led by Warrant Officer Ashok Kumar led the 72 musicians\u2019 contingent, which included 3 Drum Majors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following them were the <strong>Air Force<\/strong> contingent led by Flight Lieutenant Shrikant Sharma. In the rear was the Air Force Tableau displaying a scaled-down model of Tejas and Rafale fighters and the Astra Air-to-Air Missile system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>DRDO<\/strong> tableau was next showcasing India\u2019s latest Anti-satellite Missile System \u2013 part of Mission Shakti.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was followed by Lt Vivek More of 140 AD, leading the Air Defence Tactical Control Radar Unit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Coast Guard<\/strong>\u00a0led by Deputy Commandant Gaurav Sharma was next.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Behind them was the CRPF Band led by Inspector Shamsher Lal. Assistant Commandant Sandeep Patil next led the CRPF marching contingent.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Paramilitary and Police<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) <\/strong>band played out the familiar \u2018Saare Jahan Se Accha\u2019 as they led the smart ITBP marching contingent led by Assistant Commandant Amit Yadav.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Central Industrial Police Force (CISF)<\/strong> band led by Sub Inspector Rajpurohit was next and followed by the 85-strong CISF contingent led by Deputy Commandant Prabh Simran Singh<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Delhites were thrilled to see the 68-strong <strong>Delhi Police<\/strong> Band, which was followed by the ever-so-smart Delhi Police marching contingent led by Assistant Commissioner Sudhanshu Dharma. In the past, the Delhi Police has won the best marching contingent awards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then came the gentle yet resolute colourfully-decked <strong>Border Security Force (BSF)<\/strong> Camel band contingent led by Deputy Commandant Ghanshyam Singh playing the lovely \u2018Hum Hain Seema Suraksha Bal\u2019 tune.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">National Cadet Corps and NSS<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under Officer Yash Jain led the NCC Cadets\u2019 band. Following them were the NCC Junior Wing commanded by Under Officer Charanjit Singh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then came the NCC Girls Cadet band from the Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, playing the evergreen \u2018Saare Jahan Se Accha.\u2019 Following them was the 168-strong NCC Girls marching contingent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then came the <strong>National Service Scheme (NSS)<\/strong> contingent led by Chetan Gupta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 130-strong Massed Pipes Band of Army playing \u2018Almora\u2019 were at the rear of the marching contingents.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">State Tableau<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Several colourful tableaus followed representing various states and government departments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">First, was <strong>Chhattisgarh <\/strong>depicting the rich tribal culture. Tamil Nadu came next showcasing their folk arts and dances. Dessert state of <strong>Rajasthan<\/strong> was next with Jaipur as the central theme representing rich architectural and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Telangana<\/strong> displayed its mix of culture and festivals. <strong>Assam <\/strong>followed with their bamboo and cane-themed tableau.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Himachal Pradesh<\/strong> displayed their Kullu Dussehra festival while <strong>Madhya Pradesh<\/strong> represented the Tribal Museum in Bhopal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Goa<\/strong> tableau highlighted the state\u2019s rich biodiversity and the \u2018Save the Frog\u2019 campaign. Eastern coast state of <strong>Odisha<\/strong> showcased the Rukuna Ratha Yatra of Lord Lingaraja temple of Bhubaneshwar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Meghalaya<\/strong> was next with their folk arts, followed by <strong>Gujarat<\/strong>. The state tableau showcased Rani-ki-Vav, the only UNESCO recognized step-well in the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Andhra Pradesh<\/strong> showed their rich culture and festivals<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Uttar Pradesh<\/strong> tableau highlighted religious tourism while <strong>Karnataka <\/strong>displayed the Anubhava Mantapa concept.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The<strong> Jammu &amp; Kashmir <\/strong>tableau showcased the \u2018Back to Village\u2019 initiative. <strong>Punjab<\/strong> celebrated the 550<sup>th<\/sup> Birth centenary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of the Sikh religion.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Government Department Tableau<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The tableau sequence highlighted various government programs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Department for <strong>Promotion of Industry and International Trade<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Department of <strong>Financial Services<\/strong> showcasing digital payments &#8211; BHIM initiative and schemes like Mudra.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NDRF<\/strong> showed Life Saving and Conservation of Living Beings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Department of <strong>Drinking Water<\/strong> <strong>and Sanitation<\/strong> displayed \u2018Har Ghar Jal\u2019 theme, while the Ministry of <strong>Shipping <\/strong>celebrated its<strong> \u2018<\/strong>Glorious Past and Vibrant Future\u2019 theme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>CPWD<\/strong> presented the flower-themed \u2018Kashmir Se Kanyakumari Tak\u2019 initiative.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">School Children Tableau and Performances<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tableau highlighting Bravery, Innovation, and Sports among children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Arvind Gupta DAV Centenary Public School Model Town<\/strong> performed a song and dance sequence in Blue and white costume.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>West Zone Cultural Centre Udaipur<\/strong> performed the Garba.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Vinay Nagar Bengali Senior Secondary School <\/strong>presented their song and dance and followed by <strong>Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya Janakpuri<\/strong>, Delhi.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Daredevil Bike Riders<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>CRPF<\/strong> Bike riders led by Inspector Seema Nag;
