Mohammad Jaffer had competed in the 1932 Summer Olympics and 1936 Summer Olympics. He was a great player of Hockey and got selected for 1928 Olympics to represent the Indian Hockey team. Later, he also became part of the Indian team which won the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles. Considered as one of the best players playing on the position of \u201cLeft-Out\u201d Jaffer participated in the 1936 tournament as the vice-captain. Jaffer died as a result of shooting accident which took place near Lahore in 1937.\ufeff<\/p>\n
Born in Shergarh, District Montgomery, British India (now in Punjab, Pakistan), Mohammad Jaffer got educated at the Aitchison College, Lahore and also the Government College, Lahore. In the year 1932, he became a member of the Indian field hockey team, which ended up winning a gold medal. Henceforth, he also played two matches for India. After a whopping duration of four years, Mohammad Jaffer again became a member of the Indian field hockey team and won a gold medal.
