His father Vinod Khanna and brother Rahul (also a MTV VJ) are well-known Bollywood actors. Son of Vinod&#8217;s first wife Geetanjali, Akshaye has acting in his blood. His natural acting skills combined with his looks have made him very popular among the modern Bollywood heroes. Vinod&#8217;s reputation as a successful Bollywood hero laid the foundation of his son&#8217;s film career.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/5535731\/MOI_Common_BoxAD --><\/p>\n<p>Akshaye started his career in 1997 with his debut film &#8216;Himalaya Putra&#8217; under the banner of in-house Vinod Khanna productions. This film unfortunately flopped at the box office. This first flop film however, could not suppress his talents as an actor. Akshaye&#8217;s subsequent films brought out the hidden talents of this young hero.
