Chetan Baboor is a notable table tennis player of India who has the record of winning the national championship four times. During the last decade of the 20th century, he played many tournaments in the popular Swedish club called Kalmer.<\/p>\n
Having the experience of playing with such tennis proponents as Jan Ove Waldner in the Kalmer Club, he has honed his skills a lot.<\/p>\n
Chetan Baboor participated in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, 1996 Atlanta Olympics and 2000 Sydney Olympics. He also has the record of beating two 1996 Olympic gold and bronze medalists – Liu Guoliang and Jorg Rosskopf, respectively. An Arjuna Awardee of 1997, he has two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games.<\/p>\n
Born in North India, he stayed in the southern and western parts of the country too. Sweden and France are the places where he stayed for a considerable period of time.<\/p>\n
He was employed in the Indian Oil as a mechanical engineer. A music enthusiast, Chetan is also known as a keen learner who takes major interest in all the world championships. Chetan Baboor became a member of the senior national table tennis team at the tender age of 16.
