Gobar Goho is one of the celebrated heavyweight champions in India. He was also a practitioner of ‘Pehlwani’ (Indian wrestling). He was, in fact, one of the eminent ‘Pehlwans’ of India who gave a new dimension to ‘Pehlwani’.
\nGobar Goho won the heavyweight championship that took place in San Francisco in 1922. He is said to have defeated the renowned catch wrestler Ad Santel, who was also proclaimed as the World Judo Champion after he defeated champion Judokas in Japan.
