3. Amit Shah
Amit Anilchandra Shah is one of the most prominent Indian politicians. Hailing from Gujarat, he is currently working as the Union Minister of Home Affairs. From 2014-2019, he served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Starting as a member of the BJP affiliated student organization ABVP, Shah was elected as an MLA in Gujarat for the first time in 1997. Since then, he has successfully served in many roles, such as a minister in the Gujarat state government and BJP’s election in-charge for various states in subsequent elections. Moreover, this year he was fielded from the Gandhinagar parliamentary constituency for Lok Sabha elections 2019. Amit Shah being the chief strategist of the BJP party had a vital role to play in the BJP notching a tally of 303 seats in the 2019 general elections. He is also considered the brain behind the meteoric rise of current Prime Minister and fellow Gujarat politician Narendra Modi.
