Kanha National Park is a wildlife park located in the Mandala and Balaghat district of Madhaya Pradesh. The park was created on June 1st 1955 and stretches over an area of 940 km sq, surrounded by a buffer zone of 1067 km sq and a neighboring area of 110 km sq, making it the largest national park in Central India. The national park is open from November to June every year and remains closed during the monsoon.
