The India International Trade Fair (IITF) is an annual event which provides a common platform for traders, manufacturers, importers and exporters to display, promote and sell their commodities to business companies and the general people. The IITF is a major popular attraction which attracts lakhs of people every year. It takes place between 14 to 27 November each year at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Ever since the first India International Trade Fair began in 1980, it has evolved over the years as a major trading and business event for the business community people of India and abroad. The fair is a premier event organized by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), the central trade promotion agency of the Indian Government.
This annual event exhibits a wide range of products and services including Automobiles, Textiles, Household & Kitchen Appliances, Processed food & Beverages, Chemicals, Telecommunication, Power sector, Electronic Sector, Home Furnishings, Engineering Goods etc. This year the India International Trade Fair (IITF) will hold its 32nd Edition and the theme for IITF 2012 will be 'Skilling India'. The theme is relevant, current and a very important aim of our policy today. A Thematic display in Hall number 1 will depict the initiatives undertaken by Ministries, Private Sectors, Departments and States in the area of skilling.
The products which will be profiled in the India International Trade Fair 2012 are Cosmetics & Healthcare products, Consultancy services, Service sector, Consumer Electronics, Fitness equipment, Home & Kitchen Appliances, Optical eye care products, Textiles, Leather goods, Jute and Coir, Footwear & Travel goods, Banks, Insurance, Financial Services, SARAS (rural art and craft products), Processed Food & Agro products, Building Industry products, Small and medium size enterprise products, Khadi (KVIC) products, Ministries & Government departments and a range of products from Foreign Countries.
