Several parts of Himachal Pradesh have been severely lashed by heavy rains. More than 25 people have lost their lives due to floods and landslides in the state. The worst affected areas include Chamba, Solan, Shimla, Mandi, Una and Hamirpur. The rescue efforts have been initiated in the affected areas and relief camps have been set up for the displaced.

Flood situation grim in Bihar
Bihar these days is facing the flood fury brought about by heavy rains and landslide in Nepal with thousands of people in the districts such as Darbhanga, West Champaran and Nalanda districts getting severely affected. Over 30 Killed in Pune Landslide
The massive landslide in Malin village in Ambegaon on Wednesday destroyed more than 40 houses and claimed over 30 lives. Though the rescue operations are being hindered by rains, the team is making the best efforts to clear the piles of mud and stones and extricate the buried. As per media reports, over 120 people are still feared trapped under the debris.

21 dead in bus accident: Himachal Pradesh
In a bus accident near Shimla in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, 21 passengers have been killed. As per media reports, a bus of the state roadways, which was heading towards Savera Khad in Sunni, fell into a deep gorge near Kadhar Ghat in Basantpur. The wounded were taken to the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla.

School Bus Collides With Train, 12 Children Dead: Telangana
Early in the morning on Thursday, a school bus of the Kakatiya School collided with a train in the district of Medak, Telangana. The collision took place at an unmanned railway crossing in a village named Masaipet. As per media reports, 12 children and the driver of the bus have died in the collision. Seven children have been severely injured; the officials have implied that the death toll may rise.

Following a gas leak in a pipeline belonging to Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), an explosion caused immense fire today at 5:30 in the morning near an oil refinery complex at Nagaram in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. As per media reports, the accident has claimed 15 lives, while 10 have been critically wounded. The fire has been extinguished and the rescue operations are underway.
