Rajdhani Express derails, 4 killed: Bihar
In a train accident near Chapra in Bihar, four people have died, while nine have been severely injured. As per media reports, the New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express went off track around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the Saran district, located at about 75 km away from Patna, consequently five coaches got overturned. Gas Leak at Bhilai Steel Plant; 6 Dead, Over 30 Injured
In a gas leak accident in Chhattisgarh at the Bhilai Steel Plant, six people have been killed, while more than 30 have suffered injuries. It is being reported that the gas leakage took place on Thursday around 06:30 in the evening because of a break down in a water pump at the plant. 40 killed, 100 injured in UP train collision
Around 40 people are feared dead and at least 100 have been injured, in a train mishap in Uttar Pradesh, early morning on 26 May 2014. According to media reports, the Gorakhdham Express collided with a goods train, which was stationary, near Khalilabad in UP.

6.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Bay of Bengal
Eastern and northern parts of India were hit by an earthquake of magnitude 6.0 (Richter scale) on Wednesday, 21st May, 2014. Bay of Bengal is reported to be the epicentre, approx. 275 km South-East of Paradip Garh. While the nearby states, namely, Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand felt moderate tremors of the quake, parts of North India was mildly jolted. So far, no loss of life or property has been reported.

Maharashtra Train Accident: 21 killed, 145 injured
The train accident in Raigad district in Maharashtra that took place on Sunday, 4 May 2014 has claimed at least 21 lives and injured 145 persons. Media reports have stated that the engine and four coaches of Diwa-Sawantwadi passenger train had derailed outside the Bhise tunnel between Nagothane and Roha railway stations on Konkan Railway line.

Death toll touches 30 in Assam
As many as 30 people have been killed by Bodo militants since Thursday, 1 May 2014 in Assam. Out of the 30 dead, more than 20 were Bengali-speaking Muslims. Blasts on Express Train at Chennai Railway Station
Two blasts occurred on the Bangalore-Guwahati Express at the Chennai Central Railway Station around 7:15 a.m. today, claiming one life and injuring nine. As per media reports, the bombs exploded between the train’s S4 and S5 coaches.

Doon Express derailed in Uttar Pradesh
Six sleeper and two general coaches of the Howrah-Dehradun Doon Express derailed on Monday around 2 PM near Zafarganj railway station in Ambedkar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, as per media reports. At least eight have been injured in the accident.
