Car manufacturers such as Mahindra, Tata, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, Renault, Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Skoda, Volkswagen and other luxury brands are gearing up for fresh upcoming cars for Indian customers.

SUVs will continue to be the primary focus, and electric and hybrid vehicles will also come into their own. There will be a lot of new cars to see, including the Mahindra Scorpio N (facelift), Tata Sierra EV, Renault Duster, Nissan Tekton and premium electric vehicles.

Note: Launch dates and prices mentioned below are expected or estimated and may change depending on manufacturer plans.

Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift

One of the most eagerly awaited cars in India to hit the roads soon is the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift. The iconic SUV is likely to get exterior and interior changes, new features and technology without losing its rugged appeal and strong road presence.

The all-new Scorpio N may also bring some new safety and convenience amenities, keeping the midsize and premium class SUVs competitive. Other Mahindra products that are expected to be introduced include the Thar facelift, Global Pik Up, Vision S, Thar.e, BE.07 and BE.09.

Another big upcoming vehicle is the Mahindra Global Pik Up, which will be based on the Scorpio N platform and is expected to be in the lifestyle pickup segment.

Tata Sierra and Sierra EV

The return of the Tata Sierra is one of the biggest developments in India's automobile market. The iconic nameplate is being revived with a modern SUV design, contemporary features and multiple powertrain possibilities.

The Tata Sierra EV is particularly important because it will strengthen Tata Motors' electric SUV portfolio. The Sierra EV should feature a large interior, high-tech features, and a long-range electric drive system.

Tata is also working on updates and new models for its current SUVs like Harrier, Safari, Punch and Curvv. The company is also developing its high-end Avinya electric vehicle family for the future.

Renault Duster

The Renault Duster is making a much-anticipated return to India. The new-generation SUV should get a fresh look, new looks for interiors and enhanced technology.

The Duster will likely be a contender against some of the more popular midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun. The electric and petrol variants might appeal to a broad spectrum of customers.

Renault is also expected to introduce the larger Bigster/Boreal, which will target buyers looking for a three-row SUV with more space.

Nissan Tekton

Another big SUV that is likely to make its debut in India is the Nissan Tekton. The new model is poised to increase Nissan's competition in the very competitive Midsize SUV sector.

The Tekton is anticipated to embody a contemporary design, technologically linked features and various safety elements. It may rival other popular SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, et al.

Nissan is also likely to look at a bigger SUV for the Indian market.

Kia Seltos, Sorento and Syros EV

There are some key models that Kia has in its coming line-up. The new-generation Kia Seltos is likely to get much-needed design and technology enhancements and will be one of the most crucial vehicles for Kia in India.

Kia Sorento may offer a larger three-row SUV lineup in India, sitting above the Seltos and other mid-size vehicles. Meanwhile, the Syros EV is expected to be the first of Kia's new EVs to become available.

The products will enable Kia to be competitive in various segments of the SUV and EV markets.

Maruti Suzuki's Upcoming Cars

Within the year 2026, Maruti Suzuki is anticipated to maintain its tradition of enhancing the popular variants. The Brezza facelift may be one to keep an eye on, and the XL6 facelift may introduce new styling and new features into the more upscale MPV price range.

Other models and developments to keep an eye on are the Fronx hybrid, Fronx EV, Swift updates, Baleno updates and new electric vehicles.

The upcoming models from Maruti Suzuki are expected to draw a lot of attention given the fact that they offer a wide range of models and have a strong presence in the mass market.

Hyundai's New Cars

Hyundai will also be launching several new and updated models. The Creta 2026 is anticipated to be updated, and the company is hoping to add more models to the electric lineup, like the Ioniq 6 and Inster.

Other possible new models include a new electric SUV, a new-generation Venue and the Bayon.

Technological, safety, connected and electrification aspects are expected to be included in a high proportion of the Hyundai products that will be launched shortly.

Toyota's Upcoming Models

Toyota is in the works of several products and updates for the Indian market. Toyota's new Hilux is one of the vehicles to keep an eye on, especially for those looking for lifestyle pickups.

Look for the Urban Cruiser EV/Ebella, Land Cruiser FJ, and future incoming Innova Hycross.

As a part of its strategy, Toyota is increasingly investing in hybrid and electric mobility, which will be critical to its plans in India.

Skoda and Volkswagen

Skoda and Volkswagen are also expected to refresh their India portfolios.

Some of the most talked-about models are the Skoda Kushaq facelift and Slavia facelift. It is expected that the business will come up with some changes in styling, other new features and improvements in technology.

Volkswagen is set to make improvements to the Taigun and Virtus, as well as add more electric vehicle models in the future, including the ID.4.

Honda's Upcoming Cars

Honda is expected to introduce several new products and updates. The Elevate facelift is one of the important upcoming models, while the Elevate EV could give Honda a stronger presence in India's electric SUV market.

There are also some other models that might generate some interest, such as the Honda Prelude and ZR-V; however, the plans and positioning of these models might differ from the mainstream Honda products.

MG, JSW and VinFast

It is expected that MG would roll out more SUVs like the Hector Hawk, Hector Hawk EV and Majestor.

The JSW/Jetour T2 is another interesting SUV that will be coming this fall, and it has a rugged design and an off-road-inspired styling.

Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast is also developing its models, such as the VF3, VF6, VF7 and VF8 for India, providing a wider choice for EV buyers in the country.
