At least 9 trekkers have been found dead after a fire broke out in the Kurangini hills in Theni district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday. The trekkers included a group of women and children. Around 21 people have been rescued with the help of the Indian Air Force. They were treated at the Kurangani primary health center before being sent to the Bodi General Hospital. A search for more isolated trackers is being carried out by Air Force helicopters.
ONGC drillship blast at Cochin shipyard kills 5 persons According to reports 5 persons where killed and around 10 injured in an ONGC drill ship fire at Cochin Shipyard. The blast took place at 10.45 am. The drillship Sagar Bhushan of ONGC was undergoing on repair at Cochin shipyard. According to reports the fire is under control. Earthquake tremors felt in Delhi- NCR and parts of Northern India An earthquake of 6.1 magnitude jolted Delhi-NCR on Wednesday. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border. The quake was also felt in parts of Kashmir Valley and other regions of Northern India. As per reports, metro trains were briefly halted in New Delhi but services were not disrupted.  
Major Fire Breaks out in Mumbai A fire broke out at Mumbai's Lower Parel area. The cause of the fire is still unknown, as reported by the officials. The fire started around midnight at the third storey of a building in Kamala Mills Compound. 14 people are reported to be dead and 19 people are seriously injured. Cyclone Ockhi claims 16 lives in India and Sri Lanka At least 16 people have been killed in India and Sri Lanka by the devastation caused by Cyclone Ockhi. Of these, nine were killed in India and seven in Sri Lanka. Most of the deaths occurred due to the uprooting of trees by strong winds with speed of up to 130 kilometers per hour. Cyclone Mora hits Bangladesh and North-East India Cyclone Mora, with winds of up to 117 kilometers per hour, has made landfall in Bangladesh. As per the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the storm struck at 6.00 am (local time) between Cox's Bazar and Chttagong port. Around 3000,000 people have been moved from Bangladesh's southern coastal areas to shelters. In the Indian states of West Bengal and Odisha also a heavy rainfall warning has been issued.
More Than 200 Students Admitted to Hospital after Gas Leaked in South Delhi As per reports, as gas leaked from a container truck in Tughlakabad, Delhi on Saturdaymorning, 200 students had to be admitted to hospital. Suspected Militants Killed Three Soldiers in Kupwara Army Camp As per reports, an army camp in Chowkibal’s Panzgam area of Kashmir’s Kupwara district was attacked by a group of suspected militants at 4 am on Thursday. Three soldiers and two militants were killed in the attack. The firing is reportedly still going on. It is believed that the militants crossed over from Pakistan and the entire area has been cordoned off by the army.
