On Friday, a fatal incident occurred at Mumbai’s Elphinstone ((Now Prabhadevi) Railway station. Amidst heavy rainfall three people lost their lives and approx. thirty people were injured in a stampede at Elphinstone railway station’s foot over bridge in Mumbai. As per the reports of Asian News International, many people were injured and 22 killed in a stampede at Mumbai’s Elphinstone railway station. According to a police official, police acted without delay on learning about incident. As per an eye witness, arrival of two trains at the same time on opposite tracks triggered panic among the daily commuters which lead to the fatal incident.
