Cruiser Van Falls into Godavari, 22 Died


At least 22 people including seven children and nine women died in an accident as the cruiser van in which they were travelling fell into the Godavari River near Rajahmundry in Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. As per media reports, all the victims were relatives and were returning to their native village Atchutapura, in Visakhapatnam after offering prayers at Tirumala Temple. According to media reports there 23 people in total in the van and only a lone survivor, a 13 year-old boy is undergoing treatment in a hospital.
