Born on January 31, 1997, in Pune, Maharashtra, Ruturaj’s cricketing aspirations were nurtured from a young age. This backing and his natural talent paved the way for his entry into the Maharashtra cricket team in 2016.

The following years saw Ruturaj blossom in domestic cricket.
