It is very hard to think an Indian buffet spread without using paneer as an ingredient in one of the curries. Just for this love of paneer specially in the North India, once again I’m back with another of the main course preparation from this called Kaju Malai Paneer. All these three ingredients make the gravy look and taste rich and its a perfect recipe when you are entertaining some guests at home. All you need is (serves 4)
Paneer – 3 cup (cut into cubes)
Kaju – 1 cup
Onion – 2 cup (cut in small pieces)
Ginger garlic paste – 3 tsp
Green chili – 1 tsp (cut in small pieces)
Tomato – 1 & 1/2 cup (cut in small pieces)
Salt to taste
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Fresh dahi – 1 cup (whisked)
Malai – 1 cup (whisked)
Butter -2 tsp
Oil to shallow fry
Green coriander to garnish
Kaju Malai Paneer Recipe
Preparation time: 10 min.
Cooking time: 20 min.
Shallow fry the kaju and keep aside.
Shallow fry the paneer and keep aside.
Heat butter in a pan, fry onions till golden brown.
Add green chilies, ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
Add tomatoes and fry till the oil leaves the sides.
Blend this into a smooth paste and transfer back to the same pan.
Add all dry masala and saute for 3-4 min.
Add dahi, malai and little water and cook with constant stirring for about a min.
Add kaju, paneer and cook for 2-3 min.
Garnish with green coriander.
