The actors working in both industries have their struggles. But the switch from television to films or vice-a-versa is equally difficult. But these actors and actresses have made this possible.

1. Ankita Lokhande
Ankita Lokhande made her debut in the television industry with Balaji’s Telefilms popular show ‘Pavitra Rishta’. Paired opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and then Hiten Tejwani, this show made her a popular television actress who became a household name. She was often recognized by her character name ‘Archana”.
After leaving TV, she debuted in Bollywood in 2018 with ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ alongside Kangana Ranaut. She also appeared in Baaghi 3 opposite Riteish Deshmukh.
2. Gurmeet Chaudhary
Popular for his portrayal of Lord Ram in 2009, Gurmeet Chaudhary is a popular actor known in the television industry for his roles in Geet – Hui SabseParayi and Punar Vivaah – Zindagi Milegi Dobara.
He made his Bollywood debut in the 2015 psychological thriller- Khamoshiyan. After which he appeared in quite a few films like ‘Mr. X’, ‘Wajah Tum Ho’, ‘Laali ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana’, Paltan’ and ‘Paltan’.
3. Hina Khan
Making her debut on television in 2019 with Rajan Shahi’s popular show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, Hina Khan is well-known for her portrayal of ‘Akshara Maheshwari/Singhania’. After being in the show for around eight years, she finally left the show. Then in 2018, she appeared in the remake of Kasautii Zindagi Ki, Kausauti Zindagi Kay, and reprised the role of ‘Komolika’. After that, she appeared in Naagin 5.
Then she switched to films and made her Bollywood debut with ‘Hacked’ in 2020. She did ‘Unlock’, ‘Wishlist’, and ‘Lines’.
4. Karan Singh Grover
Karan Singh Grover, aka KSG, is known for his performance in Dil Mil Gayye and Qubool Hai. Besides them, he has also appeared in Teri Meri Love Stories and Dil Dosti Dance. He was also part of the remake of Kasautii Zindagi Ki, ‘Kausauti Zindagi Kay’ where he reprised the role of ‘Rishabh Bajaj’.
He appeared in the Bollywood film ‘Alone’ opposite Bipasha Basu and in Hate story three, which was successful at the box office.
5. Karan Wahi
Starting his TV career with Star One’s ‘Remix’, Karan Wahi has appeared in several TV shows like ‘Mere Ghar Aayi EK Nanhi Pari’, ‘Dill Mill Gaye’, ‘Kuch Toh Log Kahenge’, and ‘Kahani Hamari… Dil Dosti Deewanepan Ki’. He is currently seen in Star Bharat’s ‘Channa Mereya’.
After making his debut with a supporting role in Daawat-e-Ishq, he appeared as a lead in ‘Hate Story 4’ in 2018.
6. Mouni Roy
Beginning her television career with ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, Mouni Roy is known for roles in Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev’. She has also appeared in ‘Junoon – Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq’ and ‘Naagin’.
She made her Bollywood debut with ‘Gold’ in 2018. She was also a part of ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’, ‘Made in China’, and ‘London Confidential’. She will be next seen in ‘Brahmastra’.

Mrunal Thakur made her television debut in 2012 with ‘Mujhse Kuchh Kehti… Yeh Khamoshiyaan’. She then appeared in the popular tv soap opera ‘Kumkum Bhagya’.
