Bollywood has given us numerous stars who have brought entertainment in our lives with their stupendous acting skills. But, some stars met with an unnatural end plunging thousands of their fans in a sea of grief and sorrow. Here we list out just a few Bollywood celebrities whose deaths were unnatural.

Sridevi

Sridevi, an iconic actor has played unforgettable roles like Chandni in the movie Chandni, Naagin in the movie Nagina, Anju-Manju in Chaalbaaz etc. The veteran actor died on 24 February 2018. This sudden demise sent shock waves through the whole nation. Sridevi was just 54 years old and died due to accidental drowning, as per the forensic reports. She was known as the first lady superstar of Indian cinema who established herself in the male-dominated society. Sridevi was awarded the Padma Shri in the year 2013, which is India’s fourth-highest civilian honor. Although, she is no more with us, but her memory lives on through the numerous movies she acted in.

Jaspal Bhatti

Jaspal Bhatti, the first turbaned Sikh Comedian on Indian TV, died on October 25, 2012. The actor-comedian was also awarded Padma Bhushan for his remarkable contribution to Bollywood. Bhatti met with an unfortunate car accident and succumbed to his injuries. The incident occurred when he was driving back to Jalandhar from Bhatinda after promoting his film “Power Cut”. Jaspal Bhatti shot into fame due to his satirical shows ‘Ulta Pulta’ and ‘Flop Show’. He is the one who gave a new dimension to comedy in the Indian TV serials. The world still remembers him for his remarkable comedy.

Jiah Khan

Jiah Khan, who made headlines with her bold entry in Bollywood opposite mega star Amitabh Bachchan, hanged herself from a ceiling fan in her Juhu Apartment. She reportedly committed suicide because she was depressed over a disturbed relationship with her boyfriend Aditya Pancholi. A six-page suicide note was found a day later by her relatives. The 25-year-old “Nishabdh” actress was extremely disturbed by her relationship and ended her life eventually. She is remembered for her role of Sunita in Amir Khan’s “Ghajini”.

Gulshan Kumar

Gulshan Kumar, the founder of T-series and a Bollywood Producer, was shot dead outside the Jeeteshwar Mahadev Mandir, a Hindu mandir dedicated to Lord Shiva of on 12 August 1997. Gulshan Kumar used to daily visit the temple located in Jeet Nagar, Andheri West suburb of Mumbai. Police accused film composer Nadeem Saifee of the Nadeem-Shravan music duo of having paid for the murder because of the personal dispute. According to reports, Mumbai underworld organization D-Company was involved in the murder.

Divya Bharti

Divya Bharti, a famous Indian actress, was aged 19 when she accidentally slipped from her balcony situated on the fifth floor of the building. She is renowned for her roles in the movies like “Deewana”. She died on April 5 in the year 1993, in the hospital. Her death is still a mystery as some people say her death was suicide but according to official records her death is considered as “accidental”. The beautiful actress was at the peak of stardom when she died. Another reason behind her death is considered to be an amalgamation of her disturbed relationships with her mother and husband Sajid Nadiadwala.

Parveen Babi

The glamorous Parveen Babi was a blockbuster heroine and is known for her roles in movies like Deewar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Namak Halaal, Suhaag, and Shaan. Babi was the first Indian actress to grace the Time magazine cover. The fashion icon was impeccable and bought a revolution in the fashion industry. The life of this iconic diva was a mystery from beginning to end. She was mentally fragile and it is believed that she suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. Parveen was found dead on January 20 in the year 2005. She had starved herself to death.

Though these Bollywood celebrities may no longer be among us, but still live on in the many movies that they acted in.
