Gurugram Metro Expansion: Check List Of Stations From HUDA City Centre To Cyber City

A significant portion of the route, covering a distance of 26.65 km, will be covered by the metro line's main corridor, connecting HUDA City Centre to Cyber City.

The elevated Gurugram metro project, which seeks to enhance connectivity significantly in the busy city, recently received approval from the Union cabinet. The project involves building a 28.5 km link between Cyber City and Huda City Centre, including a spur to the Dwarka Motorway. The project, with a projected cost of 5,452 crore, is anticipated to be finished in four years.

According to Rajesh Malhotra, director general of the press information office, the entire metro project would be improved, giving commuters a smooth journey experience. The approval of the transport project is expected to improve accessibility for Gurugram residents and visitors while reducing traffic congestion.

Stations from HUDA City Centre to Cyber City

With 27 stations, the recently proposed metro line will connect New Gurugram and Old Gurugram. The railway station will be connected to this network, which has as a key goal connecting to the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Without question, adding these significant transit hubs will simplify travel for both ground and air travellers.

Notably, the Gurugram metro project ran into several problems, which caused a delay of about five years. However, with the changes in the project plans now resolved, the metro route will encompass crucial areas such as Sector 45, Cyber Park, Sector 46, Sector 47, Sector 48, Technology Park, Udyog Vihar Phase 6, Sector 10, Sector 37, Basai, Sector 9, Sector 7, Sector 4, Sector 5, Ashok Vihar, Sector 3, Krishna Chowk, Palam Vihar Extension, Palam Vihar, Sector 23 A, Sector 22, Udyog Vihar Phase 4, and CyberHub.

The primary line will go a distance of 26.65 kilometres from Huda City Centre to CyberHub, according to the bidding document. Important intersections like Subash Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, and Palam Vihar will be crossed by this route. Further improving connectivity in the area is a spur that would run 1.85 km from Basai hamlet to the Dwarka Expressway.

The Haryana government has suggested building a metro link from Palam Vihar to Dwarka Sector 21 in response to these developments. This tactical move intends to enable seamless communication between the proposed Gurugram Metro and the Delhi Metro’s Blue Line, giving commuters practical travel options between the two cities.

Project details

According to the Press Information Bureau (PIB), the creation of a 50:50 Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) called the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited (HMRTC), jointly controlled by the governments of India and Haryana, is necessary for the implementation of the Gurugram metro project. The project’s administration and execution will be supervised by this SPV. With an expected average speed of 34 kmph for the metro trains on this route, travellers may expect prompt and effective transit. By the year 2051, it is anticipated that there will be more than 10 lakh daily users, demonstrating the enormous demand and potential for the Gurugram metro system.

A significant portion of the route, covering a distance of 26.65 km, will be covered by the metro line’s main corridor, connecting HUDA City Centre to Cyber City. The metro network’s central portion, serving the city’s primary transit requirements, is represented by this segment. The proposal includes a spur from Basai Village to the Dwarka Expressway and covers the final 1.85 km route.
